The weekend of Katelynn's 2nd birthday Bucky and Sloane drove up to TN to celebrate her birthday. Winnie and James started to put together the nursery since they were a month away from Sloane being due with Kinsley. Bucky knew they were doing and he felt bad cause he wanted to help but he didn't want Sloane driving on the interstate alone being 8 months pregnant.
She had helped her plan Katelynn's 2nd birthday in Strawberry theme cause as her hair was starting to grow it was turning into a strawberry blonde color. They had cupcakes with strawberries on them and popsicles for the kids from her daycare. She stayed attached to Bucky which he didn't mind. She wanted Bucky to help her blow out her candle which Sloane got a picture of for her phone.
She wiped tears and Sophia said "Baby it's alright."
"I know I wish dad hadn't been an ass." she said
Katelynn let Bucky get her ready for bed and read her bed time story. She was laying in her bed and he came in and said "if Kinsley is anything like her big sister I think we will be okay." as he laid down beside her.
"Buck you can'say that to loud. She doesn't know that I'm her real mom" she whispered
"I know baby.. Can I ask you a question." he said
"Sure." she said
"Have you and Sophia discussed like if you want to get her back." he said
"No not really it's not been brought up but I'm sure I could but Bucky.. I want to wait till we are out of high school and have the means to support two kids." she said
"I know baby I didn't mean right now I just meant in the future." he said
"Well I guess it's something to look into. Sophia had all the papers drawn up I just signed where she told me to sign so..who knows." she said
Bucky kissed her and said "Good night baby doll I love you."
"I love you too." she said
The next morning just like at Christmas they snuck out before Katelynn got up and headed back down to GA. They got home and saw James and Winnie in the kitchen James nodded to Bucky that everything was done.
"Hey baby I have a surprise for you." Bucky said in her ear.
"Buck we have been in TN all weekend when would you have had time to get a surprise done here." She said
"Just come on." he said as he grabbed their bags and they went downstairs to their basement.
He said "Come here baby I had them make the surprise for you baby."
He opened the door to the room that was going to be the nursery and she walked into the room and put her hands to her mouth and said "Oh my gosh.. it's beautiful."

"do you like it baby.." he said
"It's perfect baby.." she said as she wiped tears.
He kissed the side of her head and said "Baby all I wanted to do was to make sure that this time was perfect and what you wanted with your pregnancy with Katelynn. Kinsley has the best mama in the world and I wanted to make sure you weren't stressed out or worried."
"Thank you Bucky. I don't think I could fall in love with you anymore than I already am right now in this moment." she said
"Marry me baby..tomorrow " he said
She looked up at him and he said "Baby I don't want to wait anymore. She's due next month I don't want a big fancy wedding I just want you and I to go to the courthouse and get married."
She kissed him and he said "Is that a yes."
"Yeah it's a yes." she said
"Good cause your mama signed the form while we were up there that said you can marry me since you don't turn 18 till September." he said
"Bucky Barnes." she said
"What? I don't need permission I'm already 18" he said with a smile.
