It All Started At A Party

(7) Christmas

It was the first day of Christmas break Sloane and Bucky were at the store. "So baby why do we have to go to the store? It's a mad house in here." 

He followed her all the way to the toy section and she said "I'm going to get Katelynn something for Christmas. I didn't do it last year cause she was still little and my aunt told me not to worry about it." 

"Okay.. does this mean we are going to TN." he said 

"Um.. I mean I was gonna go by myself but if you want to go too you can." she said as she turned around to face him.

He smiled and he kissed her and said "What does the princess like?' 

"Sophia told me that she's into paw patrol barbies and princesses." she said 

"Okay." he said 

They spent thirty minutes in the toy section of Walmart picking out presents for Katelynn and Bucky's nieces and nephews and his little brother. Then they went got the rest of the family gifts. They got home and started to wrap everything and put everything under Winnie's tree. 

'Okay well I've got to get to the shop so I'll see you in a bit baby." he said as he kissed her. 

She kissed him back and she said "Okay.." 

He got into his truck and turned on his playlist that he named "Sloane" and turned up "Till My Last My Day" by Justin Moore. She smiled as she heard it cause she found the playlist on his spotify and then went to help Winnie clean the kitchen. 

Bucky left a little early and headed out to get her something for Christmas. Bucky was driving through town singing every song on his list. He finished up getting her Christmas present then as he was turning down the road to the Auto Shop. The boys said "Little Boss is coming." 

Bucky had "Point At You" by Justin Moore playing with his windows cracked. He pulled into the shop parking lot. Sam said "God Barnes in love is sickening and scary." 

"Atleast he finally got the girl he's been trying to win for the past year" Clint said

"Yeah but him being in love is scary. I've never heard him play love songs and I want to know what made her change her mind. Cause she was bound and determined to not be with him then something happened cause they are together now." Sam said 

Bucky went up to the office and told his dad that he needed time off. James looked at him and said "You know technically you are the boss too all you had to do was come up here and put in your time and then approve it yourself. You are my son..where are you going." 

Bucky shut the office door and said "Sloane was going to go to TN to see Katelynn and I told her that I would go with her. She just wants to go see her for Christmas we will be back before we need to be here for Grandma's dinner." 

"That's fine James..I think your mom got Katelynn something from us as well. " James said 

Bucky hugged his dad and he said "Thanks dad.. I um I'm really glad that you all like her cause from the moment I laid eyes on her dad no other girl mattered." 

James smiled and said "Son that's all it takes sometimes. I met your mama in high school and fell in love instantly and by the way I haven't said nothing but your mama so happy the other night." 

Bucky looked so confused and said "What did I do." 

James said "Apparently you had a habit that you have picked back up with Sloane. Mama said when you were little and had trouble sleeping while I was gone you would lay close to her and twirl her hair as you slept. She went to check on you two that first night Sloane stayed and she found you twirling Sloane's hair in your sleep."
