On July 6th at 7 in the morning Bucky was up about to start getting ready for summer practice at the high school. She walked into the bathroom as he was brushing his teeth "Baby is something wrong." he said
"Um my water broke.." she said through a labored breathe.
He looked out the door and saw wet spot in the bed and a trail where she walked to the bathroom. "Okay.. guess I'm not going to practice let' me find you some pants baby." he said
She started to breathe harder through the pain of contractions. He helped her get her shorts on and he grabbed the bags and found his keys and wallet phones and said "Okay baby um you are gonna have to help me here cause you have done this before not me.. so please tell me you aren't going to birth our daughter in the truck." as they went up the stairs.
"I don't think so." she said
His parents were in the kitchen and James said "I thought you had practice.."
" I do but she's in labor please come cause I'm really scared.' Bucky said
"Okay put her in our car" James said
Winnie and James drove them to the hospital and she was moaning in pain as she squeezed his hand and James said "She's a lot calmer than you were Winnie'
"Shut up." Winnie said
"Oh god please hurry..something is happening." she said
Winnie said 'James pull over now."
James pulled over and Winnie said "James Buchanan switch me spots baby."
"Okay mom what's wrong." he said
She pulled down Sloane's shorts and "James baby go now.. hurry atleast try and hurry she's at an 8 and half." as Sloane laid in the back seat.
"Oh god..Winnie this hurts." SLoane yelled
Bucky reached behind him and held her hand. "I know it hurts Sloane honey we are trying to hurry not that it matters cause you won't be able to have a epidural." Winnie said
James was trying his best to make his way to the hospital their house was away from town on the Barnes family road. Sloane started sweating and crying they were two miles from the hospital. She started to scream and Winnie said "Oh god..baby just pull over she's crowning. James Buchanan get back behind her okay."
He opened the side she was leaning against and he laid her head his lap cause he knew he wasn't going to be able to sit behind her.
James called for an ambulance and Winnie said "Okay baby girl you gotta push."
She was screaming from the pain and the stretching and Winnie coached her through it all and then they heard Kinsley's tiny cry just as the EMTs pulled up. Bucky kissed her head and said "You did great baby."
The EMTs gave Bucky something to cut the cord with and then Bucky rode with Sloane in the back of the ambulance after he gave them a diaper and an out fit for Kinsley. They doctor checked Sloane stitched her up some and checked over Kinsley and they were able to go home the next morning after an over night observation.
Once they were home everyone came over and Sloane face timed her mom and told her about her eventful labor and delivery of Kinsley. Bucky was holding and he said "Baby we made a beautiful baby girl and she has my hair."

She sent a picture to her dad just to see what he would say and said "Welcome to the world Kinsley Monroe Barnes. And I'm Sloane Ashlynn Barnes now too no thanks to you. "
Ben read the text but didn't respond and he looked over at his girlfriend that was MS Brown from Sloane's first day of school. Who was only 27 and he is in his 40s. He whispered "Cassie baby I love you."
"Mmm I love you too." she said and he cuddled up behind her and placed his hand on her baby bump.
Sloane looked down and said "Buck..I tried.'
"That's all you can do baby it's alright one day he will see that you did everything you could to raise our daughter and still the best mama to Katelynn even if she doesn't know that you are her mama." Bucky said.
"He didn't even seem upset that I moved out and I find that strange." she said
"I know but who cares baby it's him that is missing out on this beautiful little girl right here." he said as he burped her.
"You are amazing.." she said
"THank you see I'm not a bad guy after all." he said
"No you are the best damn thing ever." she said as she kissed him as she got up.
She went into the nursery and got a sleeper and a diaper for Kinsley. They got her ready for bed and then put her in her bassinet by the bed. They cuddled up and went to sleep till Kinsley woke them up.
