Jen's POV:
After getting checked out by the paramedics Josh and I stand away from everyone just to take a moment away from all that happened. We both look at the building and shudder. This is the building were I might've killed two people, this is the building where Josh killed a man. It may make us seem like a horrible people but we did it for self defense.
After a while Josh turns so he's facing me instead of the building. "I cant look at....without feeling guilt" he mumbles. I grab his shoulders and look at him. "Josh theirs nothing you could've done to prevent it, if you didn't kill him, he would've killed us" I tell him.
Josh just nods and sighs. I look up at him and give him a small smile. Slowly we both lean in and kiss. Its passionate and sparks are flying. Our lips move in sync until we here someone clear their throat. We jump apart and my eyes widen as I realize its Aaron.
"Aaron" I mumble. "Jen, I don't think we should see each other more" He murmurs. I nod feeling guilty. "Im sorry, Im just not over Josh" I tell him. Aaron nods and gives me a weak smile. "Its alright, better I find out now then in a year from now" he says trying to make it into a joke. I nod and smile. "Friends?" Aaron asks.
I don't get to answer the next part because a gun shot goes off and it hits Aaron. I scream as Aaron falls over dead and Josh rushes over to him. He tries to cover the wound, but we both know its too late. I look up to see two people, one holding the gun the other watching. The police shoot them both causing them to drop to the ground. "Joe killed him" I hear Josh whisper.
Sirens ring out as paramedics come and take him away. They cover him with a sheet and announce his death. Josh holds me close as I cry softly into his shoulder. "T-t-this isn't f-f-fair, I just b-b-broke up with h-h-him and then h-h-he gets killed" I sob. Josh holds me close as we both silently watch the ambulance drive away.
