ANNA'S POV
I put the phone to my ear. "Hello?"
"Anna? It's Wilmer, my lawyer has sorted everything... Kinda."
"Kinda?"
"Well, it will take a few weeks but it's basically sorted."
"Thanks, Wilmer."
"It's okay, tell Demi I said hi."
"I will, bye!" I hung up the phone.
I won't tell Demi he said hi, I can't be bothered to listen to her bad mouth him. It's been a few weeks since I saw Wilmer and we're back in Texas now. Demi won't shut up about moving in with Nick but, although I really want to, I can't help but think about Meadow. She was my friend, she still is I hope. She's the only friend I have and I don't want to lose that. I don't want to go to school anymore so how will I make any more friends? I also have my doctor in Texas and it was hard enough settling with that one, I don't want another one. Demi wants to take me off anti-depressants now because I feel fine but what if something happens? I've relied on these drugs so much.
Demi shoved a bowl of popcorn under my nose. I snapped from my daydream whilst staring at the TV and turned my gaze to Demi. "Thanks," I mumbled and took the bowl of popcorn.
"It's okay, honey. So, I've been thinking about when we move to C-"
I cut her off. "What about Meadow?"
"Meadow? You haven't spoken to her since school."
"Well, I was kind of busy."
"She hasn't spoken to you, either. You'll make more friends in Cali."
"No, I won't, Demi. It took me ages to make friends here and I only made one."
"It's a fresh start, Anna. You'll make loads, I promise."
I chewed on the inside of my cheek in thought. Maybe she was right. It is a fresh start but that doesn't mean I'll make friends. The move to that elementary was a fresh start but I didn't make friends, did I? So how will this be any different?"
"I don't know about that," I sighed.
"I promise you," Demi moved the popcorn and took both of my hands. "You'll make friends, Anna."
I heaved another sigh and freed my hands. I helped myself to a handful of popcorn and directed my line of sight to the TV. I don't know about this at all.
"Anna, look at me," Demi tilted my chin. "We're going to move to Cali and you'll make friends, I did promise. I've spoken to my management and everyone involved with me and they'll help me move to Nick's and keep it on the down low. They're going to move out the stuff I don't need tomorrow, Anna. Then in a week we'll move the other stuff and then ourselves to Nick's. You can decorate your own bedroom and-"
"I thought we were taking it slow?"
"We are. Believe me, this is slow."
"It's not, Dems. I won't be able to say goodbye to Meadow."
"I have her parents' number, you can ring her before we catch the flight."
I nodded my head. I suppose this will be a good idea.

DEMI'S POV
"Yes, this way!" I directed the men towards the stacks of packed boxes. They're just going to send all the stuff we don't necessarily need to Nick's. "Careful!"
