New friend

I was walking around in the town exploring when I felt as if I was being watched. I just shrugged it off and continued it may just be someone who is curious of my presence in this town. I though. But I thought wrong when I was on the outskirts of the town where no one lives or is around I was confronted by a giant robot looking thing, it was not friendly. I snarl out of shock and jump back. The robot then started to reach for me, now I would like to say I let out my dragon side and tore him, er, it to shreds but no. My powers have a cool down of six days and I used my powers to help my mom two days ago. But before it had a chance to grab me, a blue ray of energy blasted through its arm. "I don't think the little lady would enjoy you offering hospitality" looking over I see a black and red robot standing there not looking so happy. By the sound of the voice I thought female and I guess I was right. Within ten minutes there was scrap metal everywhere. "Wow" I said looking at the female robot that just saved my life. She looked down at me and gave me a gentle smile before kneeling down. "Your a brave one, from what I observed from your kind, they would all run scared if they seen me or someone similar to me." She said "the names Shift, and yours?" Shift asked. "Echo" I said. After that she offered to drive me home. "Oh and Echo?" She said, "Yes?" "Can you keep my existence secret? I don't want to give my position to the enemy nor make the people here go into panic." I smile at her concern for the people and nod "your secrets safe with me." I say getting out. My mom walked out as Shift drove off. "A new friend?" She asked, I nodded. I wonder if I will ever see my new friend again. I thought as I walk back into my house.

It was Monday morning and I wake up to my alarm blaring.  Turning it off I sit up and stretch. Getting up I walk to my closest and grab my black pullover then I walk over to my dresser and grab a pair of black skinny jeans and a navy shirt. After getting dressed I walk downstairs to grab something to eat. My mom was asleep on the couch so I had to be quiet. Eating and getting ready I go to the door to see Shift waiting patiently outside. Confused I walk out and walk to her. "About time, I was about to leave." She says slightly annoyed. "Sorry? But why are you picking me up?" I ask getting into the cabin of her vehicle mode. "I figured you would like a ride to school." She said pulling away. I was about to ask her how she knows the school but then I remembered, it's a small town with only one school for high schoolers. The ride was nice, I got to learn more about my new friend. So she is on the good side, The Autobots I think she said? I smile thinking. She soon stops in front of a building and opens the door. "Okay kiddo, your stop. Expecting me to be out here after." She said I smile and nod walking to the front door of the lively school and go straight to the office.
