Colette's POV

It's been three days, and Faith still is asleep.

Originally, the doctors told us that she'd wake up within the hour, but that never happened. A day passed. Then two days. And now three.

The doctors told us earlier that she fell into a coma. The don't know when she'll wake up, but we all hope it's soon.

I stare at Faith's lifeless body on top of the hospital bed. She's hooked up to countless machines, oxygen, IV's, respirators, you name it. She has a broken leg, fractured elbow, and a concussion. As long as she wakes up, they think she'll live.

All of the kids, besides Emmi of course, don't know that Faith's still asleep, and shay and I are still trying to decide whether we should tell them or not. It's a hard thing, to understand that your babysitter, who has become family in the last five months, may never wake up again. She's like a sister to the kids now, and Emmi's already heart broken. I mean, she's only seven, it's a hard thing to swallow.

Currently, Emmi's sound asleep on the chair across from Faith's bed. She refuses to go home every time we try to convince her. I think we're all going to go home for a while today to talk with the other kids about this.

"Shay." I whisper to my husband.

"Hmm?" He hums, looking up from his laptop, fans were wondering about the vlog, and what's wrong. They don't know exactly what happened, all we said is that there was an emergency.

I motion towards Emmi. "She's asleep, we might be able to go home without a fight." I feel bad for using Emmi's nap to our advantadge, but we might actually be able to go visit the kids for an hour or two.

Shay nods and picks her up. She squirms slightly, but no later does she melt into Shay's chest. We let the receptionist, Laura, know we're leaving for a while, and to let us know if she wakes up. Laura nods and we make our way out to the car.

Shay buckles Emmi into the seat, and I hope she doesn't wake up and flip out. It's quiet for the first forty five minutes of the drive, until Emmi's shifting is heard and she realizes where she is.

"Mommy?" She asks sleepily.

"Yeah, Em?" I ask, silently hoping she's okay with this.

"Are we going home?"

"Yeah, we are." Shay says for me, and I'm grateful.

"But I want Faith!" She wails.

"I know, Em, but we gotta go home and see your brothers ans sis-" I try to reason, but she cuts me off.

"What if she wakes up, Mom? What if she wakes up and we're not there? I want to see her! Daddy, tell Mommy to take me back!" She cries, but we keep driving foward. It breaks my heart to see Emmi cry, but we can't stay at the hospital all day, everyday. She has such a special bond with Faith, and I hate to have to break it.

"I know, Emmi, I know." Shay attempts to calm her down. "We'll go back later. Maybe we'll take Avia, too."

"Do you promise, Daddy? Promise we'll go back?" She asks. She's not crying anymore, it'd down to a whimper.

"Yeah, Loof." Shay says, and she laughs at her nickname. "We'll go back."

"Daddy, Mommy, Emmi!" Brock screams, throwing his arms around me. "I missed you!"

I smile softly, ruffling his hair. "I missed you too, buddy." It's a Monday afternoon, and the kids have just gotten home from school. We didn't want Emmi to skip, but she insisted, and Februrary break starts tomorrow anyway.
