I woke up on Sunday morning and everything from the night before sunk in. Max Mills was in love with me, and I was in love with him. I turned over in my bed and grabbed my phone. I had a message from Olivia that was sent last night. "Are you ok? why did you leave so early? x" I remembered I hadn't told Olivia about what happened with me and Max, and decided to get dressed and walk round to her house and tell her. I shoved a hoodie and jeans on and headed out of the house. She didn't live far away from me, so it didn't take long to get there. I walked up the gravel leading to her house and knocked on the door. "I'll get it!" I heard a strange but familiar voice come from upstairs, it wasn't Olivia, it was, well, manly. Footsteps got louder and the person walked down the stairs and reached the door. Someone opened the door, they were in a pink dressing gown that barely reached their knees because they were pretty tall, they also had distinctive highlights in their hair that I could never forget. "Oh, ummm, hey Harvey. What are you doing here? Okay that was a silly question, don't answer that please." I tried to giggle to get rid of the awkwardness but it just made it worse. He leaned one arm up on the door frame and smiled at me. "So, you and Max huh?" I smiled back at him, because that was the best sentence he'd ever said. It reminded me that me and max could possibly be together, but I had to speak to Max about that first. "Um yeah I guess so. Anyway, is Olivia here?"
"Yeah, OLIVIA!" He screamed up to her and she ran down the stairs also in a dressing gown, but the difference was that hers actually fitted her. "What is it Harvs?" She placed a hand on his chest, not realising I was right in front of her. Harvey pointed to me and she quickly took her hand off of him, and everything got a little more awkward. "Oh Leah, what's up?"
"I just wanted to tell you about what happened last night, but don't worry I'll come round later."
"Text me about it Lee, I'll come over to yours tonight if you want."
"Yeah okay then, well, urm.... you kids have fun." I giggled a little and turned to leave. "Leah, wait. From what I know of Max is home alone; Leo's still at school and Mum and Dad were taking Tilly out today. I'm sure he'd like to see you."
"Oh yeah, I might go see him then, see you later."
I left the house feeling extremely awkward, and I thought seeing Max might make me feel a little bit better. I knocked on his door with no hesitation. He opened the door and a smile appeared on his face. He was wearing a blue T-shirt and black joggers, his hair was messy and his eyes looked tired. "Hey, you ok?"
"Yeah, sorry if you're busy or something, it's just that I went to Olivia's a minute ago to talk to her but Harvey was there and it was pretty awkward and he said you might be home so I decided to come over."
"I'm not busy, come in." He walked into the house and we both went into the living room and sat on the sofa.
"Soo about yesterday-" we laughed because we both said this at the same time. He pointed to me to tell me to start talking first. "Where do you want to go from here?"
"Well why don't we start here." He reached his hands out and placed my hand in his. "Okay, that's a good starting point." I looked up at him and smiled. "What did I do to deserve you Leah." I blushed and tucked my hair behind my ear. "Do you want to go out for a walk or something?" He stood up and pulled me up with him. "Yeah, sure. Let's go!" We headed for the door and he grabbed his key. This was going to be a good day.
