It was the week before nationals when Artie rolled up to Alexis asking to do a duet- technically they were already together, but it was still sudden.
They were having dinner at Artie's place, a tradition they had built up in the couple of weeks, when he randomly asked , 'do you wanna sing a duet with me in glee?'
Of course she had agreed. Alexis and Artie had gotten significantly closer since that night at prom, and so she couldn't pass up the chance to sing with him.
"Alright guys!" Mr Schue clapped, "since nationals is next week, Artie and Alexis have decided they'd like to preform for us!"
"Thanks Mr Schue" Artie grinned as they both rolled forward.
"So, a couple of days ago I was over at Artie's house, and he realised that we hadn't really sung together in glee club- so in order to just let lose before nationals, here is our duet!" Alexis spoke, handling sheet music to the band.
"What's somebody like you, doing in a place like this?" Artie started to sing, "Say, did you come alone or did you bring all your friends?"

"I'll never be the same, if we ever meet again!" The pair sung, clapping along with the other students, "won't let you get away, if we ever meet again!"
