I noticed Roger start to point and stagger over to me with John trailing behind.

"Look at you, Eden Hunter, out at a bar. Never did I think I'd see the day." He chuckled slightly, i let out a nervous giggle. "Actually I just heard th"

"And you taking John home, well in Deaky!" he laughed some more.

"Roger your drunk" I replied, trying to stop him from bringing the past up, especially around John.

" Will you be alright tonight, where are you staying?" John stepped in thankfully changing the conversation.

"I'm fine I've got Maggie over there tonight" this time sounding confident yet still not sober.

"I guess we'll go then, make sure Brian and Fred get to the hotel safely, Rog. And good luck tonight with Maggie" He laughed.

"Maggie, I thought her name was Millie?". Me and John looked at each other in despair and let Roger continue to babble to himself while walking off. He was exactly like I remembered him, almost like he hadn't changed, but I suppose that was because he'd been drinking. Last time I saw him we were 19, but given that he was 21 now and still acting the same, when I had changed myself completely, made me feel a wave of emotion.

I stopped walking but only for a few seconds until John noticed. "Are you alright, you seemed okay until Rog came over."

"Yeah, Yeah, sorry I'm fine. I'm just a little bit of a lightweight when it comes to drinking." I wasn't exactly lying to him (because I genuinely could get tipsy off of 1 glass of whine) but i wasn't gonna tell John about Roger yet, especially not when we hit it off so well tonight.

We continued to walk back to my flat which was only about a 10 minute walk from Uni but considering you had to pass many ally ways and similar roads, it seemed like it took way longer, but I didn't mind. John seemed to loosen up during the night and began to speak more personally, talking about his childhood and how he moved to West London for College. He was still based there but Queen were performing in pubs and colleges all over London, hence why he was around my area of South London. All was well until he landed the conversation over to me but we were at my block of flats so hopefully I wouldn't have to talk about myself for long.

"Well I was born in Cambourne in Cambridge, and I grew up with my parents and an older brother and younger sister." Just as I said that we arrived at my door however to my surprise John wanted me to carry on talking, so I invited him into the living room which was decorated with an old red, velvet couch and foot stool, matching, and an assortment of pieces of brown toned wooden furniture, decorated with various decorations I had found over the years. "Sorry my house isn't amazing, my dad owns these flats and a few others so I kind of have to stick to the rules with no hanging pieces on the walls and stuff."

"Are you joking, this place is so cool. Is that your turntable?" He signaled towards the small table pushed by the full length windows over looking a few busy roads of Tooting.

"Yeah, want me to play something?"

"Go ahead"

I chucked on a random album by the Beach Boys, and took a seat next to when John made himself comfortable on the couch.

"Carry on talking about yourself then." He chuckled

"Well, I grew up with my parents and an older brother and younger sister (Boaz and Victoria).Um, my parents own some buildings in South London, which helped when it came to picking colleges because I could move into one of their lots. They were adamant that I attended a fairly good school because my older brother was a drop out, which thanks to him put a lot of pressure on me to do well for my family."

"Boaz, what a cool name. Is he like a rock star now or something? He grinned.

"He actually works in music producing, my parents weren't the happiest but neither was he to be studying investment banking." I laughed.

"Music producer hey, Queen could do with one of those" he sighed, my eyes lit up. He looked at me about to say something, "I'm joking, I'm not going to make you ask your brother like that."

"I could ask him, you know, if you'd like"

We carried on talking til the early hours of the morning, and it wasn't until I noticed him yawning, that I should probably get him a blanket so he could sleep. I chucked him a thick fluffy throw over and said goodnight, but he spoke before I could leave.

"Eden, wait"

"Yes?"

"Thank you for letting me stay", he stood up, "it was really nice meeting you. I had fun."

"It was my pleasure. Thank you for the drink" I was very quickly cut off by John kissing my lips, I was surprised at first but felt a sense of fallacious come over me and I pulled away. I couldn't do anything but walk away closing the door behind me sternly.
