17th August 1870
Johns POV
When we arrived back to Edens flat, I was tired but it was still around 3 so I suggested we just have a break from packing, and Eden didn't have to be asked twice to stop. I sat down on her couch and invited her to sit next to me, she practically crashed next to me and I put my arm round her, and felt like drifting off.Around 30 minutes later I felt Eden shuffle herself onto her feet so I opened my eyes and felt the sun hit me instantly. I looked over to Eden facing me with a camera, shooting my way which made me blush.
"What are you doing?" I laughed
"Wait, stay there! You look beautiful"
"Okay, okay"
I threw my head back onto the back of the sofa until she said she was finished.
"I didn't know you took photos" I said confused,
"Oh, I don't really. I was just trying to take something of you that I can keep in a frame or something" she said while shaking the Polaroid until a photo was visible.
"Well then let me take something of you"
"John, no!" She laughed while I grabbed the camera out of her hand and quickly held down the button while she was laughing at me. The outcome was absolutely stunning to say the least.
"Look at you" I stared into her eyes. She looked back at mine.
I leant in a let our lips lock, grabbing her face and pulling her onto me.Eden's POV
The kiss went on for ages, maybe even 10 minutes, probably the longest make out we've had. And I have to say it was quite something, I'm sure had we not been so committed to marriage, we would've gone all the way. But with a short peck to end it, I decided we needed to eat dinner, so we chose Fish and Chips from the local. And eventually, I was full from eating.
As night came and a few more boxes were packed. I slipped into a t-shirt and shorts. And John dressed into the same top he was wearing and just his boxers. I locked the door, turned off all the lights except for my room and joined John on the bare mattress. I decided that instead of just falling asleep, I'd talk to him, process the whole day and my emotions.
"John?"
"Yes"
"I want you to know, I really.. like you"
"Eden?"
"Yes John"
"I love you"
Those three words made me melt, right there. But also made me realise, I felt the same, and I never have felt it before with anyone else.
"I.. love you too" I slightly laughed at how happy it made me feel to say the sentence to someone for the first time.
"You do?" He asked me.
"Yes! You have no idea" I heavily kissed him and he put his arms round my waist and I rested my head on his chest and fell asleep to the raising of his chest while he breathed in and out. I love you John. I really really do18th August
I woke up to hear light snoring next to me and at first was confused at the bareness of my room, I was only two days til I moved. I looked to the right of me to see John in a deep sleep, he looked so adorable. I felt his hand just above my hip so I knew if I moved he would probably wake up. I thought about it and realised, tomorrow was his birthday! I panicked as I hadn't thought about his present and I would need to make an excuse to leave the house to buy him a present without him following. After a while of admiring John, he started to stir, and I watched his eyes squint when the light was too bright so early.
"G'morning" he said with his voice cracking.
"Hello love" I said beaming. I stood up and made my way to the bath room, and brushed my teeth and fixed my pony tail; this was the point I realised my hair needed fixing. That could be my excuse for going out today.Walking back into the room John began to put on his jeans from the day before on,
"I've got a new unused toothbrush in the bathroom in the cupboard above the sink"
"Thank you, what are your plans for today?"
"Well I might get my hair blow dried and cut, that's really it. Do you need a lift anywhere?"
"Well later I was thinking we go back to mine and spend the night there, just because I've had presents and cards delivered to my address"
"That sounds good, what time?"
"What if we leave here at 4, so we get there for dinner, plus it will leave you time to get your hair done"
"That's perfect"
I remember there's a small walk in hairdressers right in the town centre, I'd been there before, so after eating a bowl of cereal, I drove into town.I was greeted by a woman probably in her 40's inviting me to take a seat. And after a long conversation and a few hours, I finally had my hair done and looking so much more voluminous. But now I was onto the hard part... buying a present.
I walked around many shops, but nothing really caught my eye. I thought about getting a custom pick guard for his bass but 1) I had no idea what shape he'd need and 2) it just didn't seem like much thought went into it.
I finally when into ticketer to see if there were any concerts he'd enjoy, he was always talking about Paul McCartney being one of his favourite musicians, and I caught him singing along to his new solo album so I spoke to the man at the desk.
"Hi there, uh do you have any Paul McCartney tickets"
"Sorry, only premium."
"Then I'll have them thank you." I replied. He almost laughed at my face but then began to speak
"We've got one for the 30th October at the Royal Albert Hall?"
"Umm, yep that should be fine. 2 tickets please"
After waiting for them to print, I was given an envelope and went to see if there was any cards in 'Athena' but eventually left spending around 50 quid just on wrapping paper, cards, tags etc.I mooched around for a few hours and picked up a few items of clothing, cologne, a watch and 2 records. I made the rookie mistake of forgetting about wrapping the presents at home so I had to pack everything in my car which left for some of the presents looking... questionable. I chucked them in the boot and walked up to my flat to find John packing. What a sweet gesture, he really was perfect.
I was absolutely shattered from my day out so I had a quick sit down as soon as I got in before we set out for our road trip.

Few disclaimers! I'm aware that Paul McCartney wasn't at the royal Albert hall on the 30th October but to make the story work, I had to make some chronological changes. Also I had no idea how you bought tickets then, so I do apologise. As always thank you so much for reading!!
