A few days after the crash everyone was starting to give up on the rescue although Jack insisted to not give up on hope. My thigh only had a little scar there and most of the time it never bothered me. Looks like Jack is our leader although nobody voted for it. I woke up to somebody shouting jack. I come out from my shelter and saw them all panicking.
'Jack! There's someone out there!' A blonde haired man pointed. 'I can't swim....' He rushed to the sea seeing jack run in the water. 'I can't swim' he panted. I came out and looked out to see someone shouting help in the water but whoever it was was too far to be reached by Jack.
I gulped seeing jack swim back with a body on him helping him to the shore was 'Kate' the fugitive I was sat by on the plane and the blonde haired man. 'Boone?' I questioned helping them also. 'What were you thinking?' I asked him.
'Wheres the woman?' He looked back. 'The woman she's still out there Jack!' He shouted.
'Boone!' I held onto him. 'You were nearly killed' I held his shirt trying to pull him back from the water.
'Better me than her...' He cursed. 'Why didn't you go after her!?' He shouted at Jack. 'She needed help... I thought I could...' He sat down in the sand, devastated.
'You could've drown' Jack said. 'I made a decision not to go after her' Kate was trying to calm Jack down he looked awfully tired.
'Jack you haven't slept since the crash' she calmed him. 'Jack?' She questioned. He looked like he could see something in the sea but there was nothing there. 'Jack!?' She was getting impatient.
'Did you see that?' He questioned pushing past her. 'Right there' he pointed to the ocean. 'There was a man standing right there' he turned to see Kate tapping her foot like she was his mother.
'Jack you're tired you need some rest' she reassured him. I looked to see Boone was fine now but still sad about the fact we were one survivor less.
'It wasn't your fault' I patted his shoulder. He turned quickly and shook his head. 'Just be glad jack reached you in time' I didn't really know what to say. 'Just count yourself lucky jack got to you first you could've drown' I touched his shoulder and he swing around and pushed past me knocking me to the floor.
'Hey!' The blonde haired man shouted after him and shook his head. He turned to see me in the sand looking like an idiot. 'Are you okay?' He helped me up and I brushed the sand off of my trousers. 'What a bloody idiot... Some stuck up himself kid' he cussed at him.
'Yeah I'm fine' I said while brushing the sand off. 'He just gets like that sometimes no big deal I stepped out of line' I shook my head I always blamed myself.
'No it wasn't your fault he's just being an ass' he shook his head. 'Thats no way you treat a lady' he face palmed. 'Names Charlie by the way don't believe we've had the chance to meet each other' he held out his hand. I noticed something extremely odd about him, his pupils were small.... He looked flushed and looked like he had an illness. Looks like he hasn't had much sleep either with the bags under his eyes.
'I'm... April' I shook his hand being polite although he really scared me. 'Are you okay?' I asked wondering what his problem was.
'Yeah just exhausted from the heat' he pointed to the sky. 'And from looking out for Claire' he pointed to a blonde pregnant woman sitting down in the sand. 'Besides I'm not much of a sleeper' he shrugged but I could tell he was lying by looking at the ground when he said it.
I nodded I didn't want to cause trouble.
'You might even recognise me.... I'm in a band we're called Driveshaft' he sounded happy. 'You know you all everybody' he started to sing. 'I'm there lead guitarist my brother does our vocals' he shrugged something tells me he wasn't fond of his brother.
