Chapter 1

"Come on Na'riyah! Let's go too Asia's house!" Ughhh. It was a Friday night and I didn't really want to do anything but chill. My mom was doing the most. I'm Na'riyah. I'm 17, and I'm sort of a tomboy. Sneakers over heels, jeans over dresses any day. Shoulder length hair and I have a caramel complexion. Asia was our next door neighbor. She had three kids and my mom had four including me so it worked out good. I already had my ball shorts and a shirt on so I slipped on my nike slides and walked over to Asia's house. I didn't really visit over here a lot. I spent majority of my time at my aunts house. I waited for my mom to knock on the door while I played on my phone. When I opened the door I saw Christen. Christen was 18. Same complexion as me with really long hair. She was short and beautiful. It was an awkward but good stare between us for 5 seconds, I broke it by entering the house and politely brushing by her. I didn't talk much so I didn't know how this was gonna go. My mother told me to go upstairs with Christen in her room so "grown folks" could talk. You know how that goes. I sat there staring at her while she was doing something on her laptop. She was something else. I had never stated at a girl this long 0.o. She was so pretty, like oh geez. There was nothing wrong with a girl thinking another girl was beautiful. But what about thinking she was sexy?? I stopped staring at her when I got a text from a guy I started talking to. His name was Meko. Now for like a year I've been thinking about cutting guys out completely . Lately I become more attracted to girls than guys. I can't help it, I try and try to tell myself that's guys are for me but I honestly don't know, and Christen is not helping. "What you doing Na'riyah?" She asked me breaking our awkward silence. "Twitter, what about you?" . "Talking to my girlfriend"

Talking to my girlfriend I replayed in my head over and over

"Oh aww, I see you Christen!"

She laughed and told me to shutup. I still couldn't believe what she said. I didn't know if she was joking or being serious.
