Chapter 11
Benji's POV
"Benji, don't you have a class soon?"
It was Rick's voice that woke me from my deep sleep. I glanced over at my clock; 9:30am. I'd forgotten to set my alarm, but it was no big deal.
"It's not until 11:00, but I need to get up anyway, thanks." I sat up and winced at my sore butt. Which, of course reminded me of last night. Ajax! I looked around the room, but obviously, he had left, probably quite a while ago. Rick was gathering some books into his backpack. When I looked down I noticed a piece of paper on my pillow.
Good Morning Sleepyhead. Call me when you get up. -A
I smiled. Last night was definitely...different. Okay, it was crazy-ass weird!
Eric and Steven? W.T.F.?!
The punishment? Holy Freaking Holiday!
I flopped back on my pillow, closed my eyes and sighed. Ajax was really there for me. I mean, the punishment was hard, but I did deserve it and it was cool how he gave me choices and helped me understand the cause and effect of my behaviour. Best of all, he forgave me and I knew he wasn't going to hold it against me. He wasn't going to carry it around like baggage, it was over.
I sat up and grabbed my towel...then put it down. I think I'll take a shower later, I thought as I blushed. Maybe I'll shower later in Jamie's dorm. It might be safer there, and all her dorm-mates know I'm gay. I chuckled quietly to myself, I wonder if there's a phobia of public showers; after last night I might be at risk of getting it.
"I'll see you around Benji," Rick called as he headed for the door, startling me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, dude. Have a great weekend," I replied.
After he left I picked up my phone and called Ajax.
"Hi Sir," I greeted when he picked up the phone, a sudden feeling of elation sparking in my stomach.
"You really are a sleepyhead today, did you just get up?"
"Yes Sir, sorry. I forgot to set my alarm, but my class isn't until 11:00, so I have plenty of time." I told him as I got my meds from my backpack and swallowed one with the water bottle on my desk.
"How are you feeling this morning?"
"Good Sir, fine. Thanks...thank you for staying with me until I fell asleep last night."
"You're welcome. Did you take your meds yet?" He asked, but he sounded distracted and I could hear some activity in the background, he was probably at his office already hard at work.
"Just took it. What time are you picking me up later?"
"How about 6:00 at your dorm, does that give you enough time to pack a few things?"
"Yes Sir, plenty. Anything special I should bring?"
"Hold on a sec Benj," he said and I heard him talking to someone giving them instructions about a conference call. "Sorry kiddo, it's a bit busy here and I'm trying to tie up some loose ends so I don't have to bring any work home this weekend."
"It's okay."
"No, you don't need anything special. Just wear something nice tonight, we're having dinner at one of my more upscale restaurants...not formal, just something nice, no jeans."
"Yes Sir."
"And don't forget the books you need, I'll make sure you have plenty of time to study for your midterms. Hey, I've got to go now Benji, but feel free to text me if you need anything and I'll see you at 6:00 sharp."
