Rylees P.O.V:

"Not so tight."
I hissed as Katherine knotted the ropes holding me to the tree.

"Quit being a big baby." She rolled her eyes, purposfully tugging on the ropes a little tighter now. Katherine and I decided to hide out on the old Lockwood property. Damon had called to let us know that Stefan had found a witch to do a locator spell.  It shouldn't be long.

Now I stood tied to a tree as Katherine finished carving a steak to make things a little more convincing. It surprised me however when I saw her pour gasoline in a circle around me.

"What the hell are you doing?!" I demanded. "This is not part of the plan!" I squirmed.

"It's part of my plan." She struck a match. "Now that I have my freedom from Klaus, I'd like to enjoy it." She dropped the match and sparks flew.

"I'm gonna use you to get Stefan." She smirked. "He has a choice. I'll let you go if he gives me a chance, but if Not I will kill you, and Elena, and everyone else he seems to care about."

Katherine was grabbed before she could make another sound. I struggled to move due to the flames and the scratchy rope.  It wasn't long before I heard her yelping.  I looked to see that Stefan had her pressed against a tree just opposite of me. I couldn't help but smirk.

"I will never choose you." His tone was cold enough to send shivers down your spine. Of course that wasn't the case for me, as the fire inched closer.
"Stefan." I squeaked, but he continued to stare her down.  "Being with you once was enough to realize that you're toxic, manipulative, and honestly being with you is a complete waste of time." He seemed to press harder. "If you ever hurt any of them I will end you for good." He whispered threatdningly before snapping her neck.

"Stefan!" I successfully grabbed his attention as he was quick to release me. How he did it I'm not sure. It happened rather quickly. All I know is that I couldn't let him go. I cautiously looked up to meet his eyes. They were in no way filled with the menacing look I was expecting. Instead he looked scared.

"That was a stupid plan." He breathed out. "You knew?" I pulled away from him. "It was poorly put together, of course I knew. The only reason I came out here was because I knew Katherine couldn't be trusted especially when working with Klaus." He explained. I rolled my eyes at that last part. "Klaus would never hurt me."

"Not intentionally. Being ancient doesn't make him the brightest vampire."
"Whatever." I crossed my arms. "The plan worked regardless."
He nodded. "That's true."

It fell silent for a moment, neither of us knew what to do or say. "They want you for something." I rocked on my heels. "They're keeping it a secret from me, but Katherine claims that there's a cure." He looked at me curiously. "A cure for what?" He asked. "Vampirism, you idiot."

I began to walk back. "Do you want it?" He asked. "I don't think that's important right now." I shook my head. "Then what is?" "Honesty. From my brother, and from the one who claims to love me more than anything else." I answered. "You'll get over it." He claimed. "As if it's that easy." I scoffed. "Besides," I muttered. "We don't know how it would effect me. I'm different." I looked at the ground. It was almost disappointing.

"Rylee." I pulled my gaze. "It means nothing if we don't try. My question stands. Do you want it?" He persisted. "Yes." I nodded faintly.

"Then it's yours. I'll do whatever klaus wants if I can get it for you." He assured.
