Ashley’s POV

December 10, 2012

We are currently in the driveway of my aunt’s mansion.

“okay, all of you, yes, that includes you too Jaime, be on your best behavior. I do not want to get screamed at.”

“okay.” they all say and we get out. Jaime picks up Belle and we all walk up to the front door and ring the doorbell. About a few minutes later my Aunt opens the door.

“oh my goodness! Look at my beautiful nieces and handsome nephew!” she bubbles.

…she irritates me…

“hi, Aunt Shelly.” we all say and hug her. When she gets to Jaime she pauses.

“I don’t believe we have met before. Who may you be?” she asks.

“I’m Jaime Preciado.” he says with a really bad British accent which causes us to suppress laughs. My aunt whips her head back and glares at us. We all stop laughing and have a straight face. She smiles and looks back at Jaime.

“I am Shelia Betty. Please to meet you Mr. Preciado.” she sticks her hand out and he shakes it.

“please, come in.” she says in her snooty attitude and we all walk inside and see luxurious furniture and glass chandeliers hanging from the ceilings. She leads us to the dining table which to my surprise, had yet ANOTHER chandelier hanging from the table.

“please take a seat. The waiters should be delivering brunch shortly.” she has waiters? Wow. We take our seats, Me and Jaime on one side, with Brady across from me, and Bella across from Jaime and our aunt on the edge of the massive table next to Brady and I.

“so, how are my nieces and nephew doing?” she asks.

“were good. Brady started football now, Bella is going to start kindergarten next fall.” I say. She nods.

“and what about you?” she asks me.

“well, Jaime and I are engaged now..” I say holding up my hand showing my ring. She takes my hand and studies it.

“I didn’t think this day would ever come.”

“well, it did, believe it or not.” I rolled my eyes and took my hand away.

“I didn’t even know you were dating someone.”

“well, you haven’t bothered to contact me in over 5 years so I’m not surprised.”

“stop with the snarky attitude. I’m only trying to be nice.”

“yeah because it really seems like it.”

“someone’s got an attitude.”

“someone’s a bitch.”

“someone needs to shut their mouth before I whip it off.” I shut my mouth and sink down a little bit.

“what else is new?”

“I, uh, quit my job a few months ago.” I said trailing off.

“why would you do that?” she asked me. I look at Jaime and he gives me a reassuring nod.

“I just didn’t really like it there anymore. I wasn’t making a lot of money although I was doing a lot of work.”

“you should come work at my hotel.”

“no, that’s all the way in New York. I couldn’t leave. Jaime’s friends and family are here, and so are Brady’s friends and school. Thank you for the offer but no thanks I’m good.”

“oh that’s a shame. You could use the money.” WOAH WOAH WOAH BITCH, HELL NAH.

“I could use the money?! What makes you think we are poor!?”

“you shirt, it isn’t ironed or satin/silk.”

“who the fuck cares?! I don’t need to be a snooty, bitchy, rich snob like you to be happy! I’ve got a wonderful family, I’ve got a roof under my head and some really good friends. That I DON’T need to buy unlike SOMEONE I know!” I stood up in my chair and started to walk away.

“Ashley! How dare you talk to me like that! I am your aunt! Your parents would be so disappointed in you.” she said and I stopped and turned around. I glared at her so much. You could probably see steam coming out of my ears.

“excuse me?” I said in the bitchiest tone I could produce.

“you heard me.” I feel my blood boiling so I walk up to her and rip her fake wig off and smirked. She screamed and tried to take it from me.

“yeah, who’s not so perfect now?” I’m so glad mom told me about her wig.

“how did you know about that?!”

“my mom told me some things. Also, your boobs, butt, nose. And body is fake. Your face has botox, and you got plastic surgery. It seems you need to get more because I can still see some crows feet right in there and some worry lines! Oh goodness, what in the world are those?! Sun spots I believe?” I said in her bubbly tone. I hear snickers from behind me.

“you bitch.”

“you betcha. I am the worlds biggest bitch. And I will plan my parents funeral myself because you don’t even deserve the recognition of being my aunt or my moms sister. Your just some ignorant, snooty, low life bitch. Good day.” I say and throw her wig in the gravy pot on the stove and walk out the door.

I feel so good right now.
