Karma [POV]

"What happened to your back?" Kayano blurted out, Nagisa looked surprised

"I-I fell out of a tree" He responded after a while, how long it took him to respond wasn't very convincing.

"You don't climb trees" I accused, he bit his lip trying to think of something else

"The truth Nagisa" Kayano asserted

"I would rather not it-"

"You're a horrible liar Nagisa what happened" I stopped walking grabbing Nagisa by the shoulder turning him around to face us

"I made my mom mad again but it's nothing really" He shrugged

"You're limping too" I pointed out

"That, I fell in the shower and twisted my ankle" He explained, it was hard to tell if that was the truth or not

Nagisa [POV]

My ankle was killing me.  It felt almost like every step I took I was getting stabbed in the ankle.  It was getting harder to keep a straight face especially with this dress on.  I was ashamed, we passed many people, I got disgusted looks from the people that knew me and lustful looks from the men that didn't.  I tried to hide my limp but it didn't work, I did fall in the shower but that wasn't how I hurt my ankle.  Honestly I fell down the stairs running out of my apartment after accidentally making my mother mad and I was so focused on getting away from her I didn't watch where I was going.

"Nagisa since we technically just showed up at your house out of the blue where do you wanna go?" Karma asked

"Frankly I don't care I'm just glad to be out of the house but a little warning next time would be nice" I complained

"I tried calling you but you didn't answer" Kayano explained

"I kind of left my phone at school" I laughed awkwardly scratching at the back of my neck

"Do you want to go get your phone we can go with you, we've got the whole night to do what we want" Karma offered

"No I don't need it I can get it tomorrow"

"Come on let's go get it, kill some time" Kayano grabbed me by the wrist pulling me in the direction of the school

"You guys are acting weird tonight are you planning something?" I asked hurrying to keep up with the,

"Nope not planning anything" Kayano shook her head

"We really don't need to go all the way to school just to get my phone it's fine"

"Well we could hang out there for a bit" Karma shrugged "At least it's quiet up there"

"Okay" I didn't say anything else and they didn't ask anymore questions

Kayano [POV]

By the time we had gotten to school it seemed as if Nagisa was trying his hardest to keep up with us but was still going slow.  Without him noticing I poked Karma nodding back to Nagisa.  He had his head down looking at his feet.  Karma nodded and walked a bit slower.  Sometimes It's quite hard to see what Nagisa is thinking.  When we got to the classroom I put his hair up for him like I did the first day of school

"Nagisa where did you leave your phone?" Karma asked pushing open the door

"I don't think I had it with me when I went out for lunch so it's probably in the classroom still" Karma pushed open the classroom door.  Nagisa went in front of us to his desk.  Reaching in the compartment under it he pulled out his phone

"Yeah it's right here" He held it up to show us smiling weakly

"Let me see your ankle" Karma instructed

"What, why?"

"You were limping pretty bad this whole time here I don't think it's just twisted" Nagisa raised an eyebrow but sat on top of the desk.  Karma came over and grabbed his leg lifting it up to look at it.

"I'm fine Karma" Nagisa protested

"I'm no doctor but it almost looks like it's broken you should go to the doctor" Karma instructed

"If it were broken wouldn't the bone stick out" He told Karma shifting on the desk

"Not always but I still think you should go to the doctor" Without warning Karma picked Nagisa up bridal style

"Karma put me down I can walk" Nagisa protested

"Don't want to make it worse" he accused

Karma [POV]

I doubted his ankle was really broken, sprained at least but I just wanted to scare him a bit so he would actually go to the doctos.

"We are going to the doctors right now" I concluded

"What?  Really Karma I'm fine you can put me down" He protested again squirming in my arms

"Stop squirming or I'll drop you" I threatened

"Karma I'm fine really" 

"Fine" I agreed with a shrug dropping him to the ground quickly.  He yelped in pain as he landed on his bad foot

"Karma" he whined shifting his weight to the other foot "Why didn't you warn me"

"I did that on purpose" I picked him back up "Now we go to the doctors"

"I can walk I already told you"

"Kayano could you get the door?" I asked, Kayano nodded and hurried over to the door opening it for me to pass.  Nagisa stopped protesting after a while but that didn't stop him from pouting continued to move around in my arms.  By the time we got the the bottom of the mountain he had stopped moving.  I looked down at him to discover he had fallen asleep leaning against my shoulder breathing softly

"Is he-?" Kayano started

"Shh" I whispered to her nodding.  She walked a little faster looking over at him

"Should we take him home?" She asked quietly

"Yeah that's probably the safe thing to do" I nodded

"What about his ankle?" 

"I don't know but I don't want to take him to the doctor when he's asleep.  If he does think it's broken though like I said though I doubt it really is broken he may go to the doctor to get it looked at" I looked down at the sleeping bow "Though knowing him he will probably just suck it up and go to school normally tomorrow"

"Did you know that his mother did...., that?" She asked which caught me by surprise

"No this is the first time I've ever heard him mention his mom hitting him" I shook my head "There is a lot that he keeps to himself"

"Yeah you're right" she pursed her lips thinking hard.
