Glass Feelings

Feelings are a fragile as glass.
A few words can shadder a person's world.
No one ever really realizes the impact of their words until it's too late.

Some people are stronger than others though.
A few scratches here and there don't mean much.
But a scratch can cause a break over time.
Tiny shards of what they used to be will fall away.
Never to be seen again.

Feelings are as clear as glass.
Some you can see right through.
Others are foggy.
Then there's ones that you can never see through.
Those are the ones that are kept secret.
You'll never understand them because they're the most obvious,
But the easiest to look past.

But feelings are as beautiful as glass too.
Some have many different colors.
Others have intricate designs.
And others are plain and simple.
Feelings can hold so much meaning.
And they can hold so many secrets.

Feelings are like glass.
Treat them with care, and they can last forever.
Ignore them, and they'll collect dust.
Treat them poorly and they'll break.
