There comes a point in time where you no longer feel like you're living,
You just feel like you're floating through time.
Nothing there to really catch you.
It's the same thing every day.

Do this,
Don't do that.
Say this,
But don't say that.
It's the same old same old.

Ever so rarely will there be someone to pull you out of the haze of normality.

They change your routine,
And show you different views on life.

Those people don't come around that often.
And even when they do,
You might not notice them at first.

You might just notice the in the halls at school.
Give them a casual wave and smile.
But once you actually get to know them,
That's when your life begins to change.

You start to see the world in vivid colors,
Whereas before,
It used to be different shades of grey.
A classic black and white scenario.

I've lived a lot of years in black and white.
Some had little hues here and there,
But it was still faint.

But now that I've found my person,
The world is full of vivid colors.

Vibrant reds and yellows.
Deep blues,
And evergreen trees.

Even on cloudy days,
His green eyes manage to pull me out of the fog,
And back into the vivid world that I've grown to know,
The world that is his evergreen love.
