I Loved And I Lost You

I'm trying to come to terms with what is real.

Long days and nights I've spent thinking,
Only if things could be different.
Vibrant were days of when we were happy.
Everything was so full of life.
Dull are the days now.

Although you've moved on,
Never have these emotions stopped.
Do you know how much you mean to me?

I wish certain things didn't happen.

Love that was pure.
Only for us to know about.
Still I will have hope.
There has to be something the future holds.

You will remain in my heart.
One day at a time,
Until it's our time to be.
