Happiness is a weird thing.
It's not something that can last forever,
But it's also not something that never comes.
Happiness comes in bursts,
But the duration of it varies.
It can last a few minutes,
Or even up to days or weeks.
But it'll never last forever.
For if you were always happy,
You'd actually be neutral.
Things can't get better,
So then the only way to go is down.
The coming down is the most difficult part.
You always wish the happiness could last.
You don't want to be neutral,
But you really don't want to be sad.
But at least you can always come up from sadness.
