When they reached the train station, his Aunt and Uncle didn't get out of the car, nor did they even say goodbye.
Harry found a cart and loaded his trunk and his owl, Hedwig, on it. Then he headed towards the platforms nine and ten. He walked between the two platforms, "Where the hell is platform 9 3/4?" He thought, starting to get frustrated, then he saw a familiar blond headed boy pushing a cart of similar cargo, towards the end of platform ten. We had met each other while buying school robes in Diagon Alley. ''What was his name?" Harry racked his brain, "Ah" he said aloud, "Draco, Draco Malfoy." He ran to catch up with him, "Draco!" he yelled, Draco turned around, saw Harry, and stepped to the side to let Harry catch up to him.
"I didn't think you'd take my advice as well as you did Potter." He said. Harry followed Draco as he instructed him to run straight at the wall, he obeyed and came out on the other side where the Hogwarts Express was waiting.
He had first met Draco at Madam Malkin's Robes for all Occasions, in Diagon Alley. "Choose your friends and enemy's wisely, Potter." He had warned him. Harry decided he didn't want trouble with this Draco kid, maybe they can be friends, at least it's be better than being enemy's.
Harry had just drifted back to the conversation he was having with Draco, he was talking about the other kids, who he didn't like, and who he liked. Harry started listening to him when he pointed out a red headed family all in one big group walking towards the train like he and Malfoy. "Do listen Potter, stay away from the Weasley's over there, they're pretty well known for their stupid red hair and how dreadfully poor they are." he sniggered, Harry nervously laughed with him. "Look over there..." Draco pointed at a kid about our age "That's Ronald Weasley, a first year like us, look at how pathetic he looks." Malfoy snorted.
As we got closer Malfoy shouted "Aww look at ickle Weasley! Are you kissing your mummy goodbye?" They both burst out laughing at this, at the same time they were lumbering towards the train, and slammed into a girl their age. "Well well well, who do we have here?" Draco said as he took a step back to examine her "This wouldn't happen to be the Hermione Granger, would it?"
Harry wondered how his new found friend knew all these people already. The girl, Hermione, blushed and tried to push through them "Yes, I am Hermione, you obviously knew that already." she muttered. Harry could tell she didn't like Malfoy, based off of the icy glare she had fixed on him.
Draco sneered at her "I only asked a simple question." she narrowed her eyes at him while he added under his breath "Stupid mudblood." then he said "Come on Harry, let's board the train". Hermione had heard what Draco said, Harry could tell it wasn't a nice remark.
"Sorry about him." he said jerking his head in Draco's direction.
Hermione had started silently crying, hurt from what Draco had said, she turned away from Harry and said "You'd better go with him before he comes back." Harry awkwardly turned and left her there, then he made his way through the train until Draco's hand shot out of one of the many doors that reached the practical whole length of the train, on both sides of the hallway.
Malfoy had said "Stupid mudblood" louder than he thought, Ron ran to Hermione and tried to comfort her, but she just pushed him away, she didn't want him to see her tears. She jumped on the train, and found an empty booth, where she could be alone with her thoughts until they reached Hogwarts.
