Chapter Eleven-Shining

"Yami, Rose, Scarlet, and Rece! Go to Kiten and serve as backup! Other squads are already there so help them any way you can!" Captain Julius ordered. 

"Ummm?" I looked over at William. "Should I be panicking?"

"I don't think so," William turned his attention in soothing the startled birds. "We aren't part of the group so we can just settle down," 

"You two!" Captain Julius turned around to face us. "Go with the group. This will be your first mission. Do your best! Go show your magic for the world, but do not purposely kill anyone!" 

"Yes, sir!" I shouted, grabbing a broom. I jumped and it and flew to where Yami and his group were quickly departing. 

"Fly faster so I may catch up with that group but not fast enough that I bypass them.  Once I'm next to them, slow down to match their fly speed," I commanded the broom. It was one of the more specific commands I've done, and it worked perfectly. There was a flash of indigo purple and the next thing I knew, I was beside Yami who was giving me a peculiar look.  

"Luna..." he gave me a hard stare.

"You are SO welcome! I've come to HEEEELP you!"

"This is dangerous, people might die,"

"Great, time for heroic deeds to save the world!"

"You are a newbie. This is quite dangerous for you, little girl," Yami snorted.

"HUH?! WHO ARE YOU CALLING A LITTLE GIRL?!! I'M OLDER THAN YOU!"

"Ever fought with the Diamond Kingdom before?" Yami asked, a little smug.

"No, have you?"

"Lot's of times, it's the most hostile out of all the kingdoms. They constantly will attack this town, Kiten so much that the town developed a strong barrier of 50 mages around the town. I wonder how they've got in this time,"

I lifted my animus streak, sensing the mana in the air. There was the group's small mana as we flew and William a little behind us. I pointed my streak towards the direction we were flying and caught a spark of mana. I concentrated harder on the spark and it exploded to hundreds of single mages clashing in battle. The fierce rage mana must be the Diamond Army. I focused more on where they advance into the towns. The mana seems to be getting lower and more muffled as I came to the borders.

"They're attacking from underground," I realized. "They have dug a tunnel to get within the walls,"

"How do you know all that? That's advance magic sensing"

"I'm a Stellar so we have phenomenal sensing abilities,"

"If you merge that with the ability to read ki, you'll be unstoppable," Yami mused. "Once we get back, I guess I should train you with that,"

I could now hear the shouts of mages as we are approaching Kiten.

"If they're attacking with a tunnel, all we need to do is find the entrance to the tunnel," Yami said.

I nodded. "The Diamond army's mana seems to start to get closer together near the northwest part of Kiten. That's because the tunnel is packed and they have to be close to each other,"

"Worth a shot," Yami lead the group over to the north district. Sure enough, Diamond mages were pouring out of an underground hole, smaller than I've thought. They looked surprised when we stood there greeting them.

"It's the Magic Knights!" one of the mages shouted. "They've discovered our-"

"Silence," I glared at him straight in the eye and he opened and closed his mouth a couple of times to realize that no sound was coming out. His face was that of disbelief and fear. The other mages were staring at me and probably considering if they should call out to those in the tunnel. I picked up a pebble laying on the ground.
