Its A Sick Christmas

Rachel's pov

It's Christmas morning!! Today is Brayden first ever Christmas and I'm so excited for it I made this one very special I know he isn't going to remember much BUT it's the thought that counts, so I quickly jump out of bed and shake finn awake

"Finn!!! Get up it's Christmas let's go get our baby" I said rapidly shaking him he groans as I do it

Once he gets up we head straight to Braydens room to see him awake and crying like normal so I pick him up and he is really really warm I feel his forehead

I start to tear up "finn does bray seem warm to you?" I said with a worried tone

He gets bray out of my hands to check "he does what should we do?" Finn says worried

I quickly run to my parents room to see them soundfully asleep "MOM DAD BRAYDEN IS FEELING WARM I THINK SOMETHINGS WRONG" i yelled crying at them, both of my parents sit up with confused looks on their faces once they noticed I was crying

"Rachie what happened?" My dad asks me trying to calm me down

"Brayden it's Brayden somethings wrong I think we need to take him to the hospital" I tell my dad

The three of us run to his room as we walk in we see finn getting a bag together while Brayden is crying in his swing "okay im going to check him" my dad said me and Finn nodded as we held eachother in our arms

"He is burning up and we need to get him to the hospital so get your shoes and coats" my dad said rapidly

At the hospital

"Okay so we need to get some information from the parents" the doctor said looking at my mom and dad

"Um he is our son" finn says while bray is in my arms calmed down

"Oh sorry um we need his name, age and weight at birth" the doctor said getting ready to write things down

"Brayden Christopher Hudson, 4 months old and he was 8lbs and 3oz at birth" I said to the doctor

"Okay thank you now what happened to me Brayden over here" the doctor said towards us

"Well I woke up because well it's Christmas so I proceeded to wake finn here we both walked into his room and when I picked him up I knew something was 100% wrong he felt very warm and wouldn't stop crying so i went to my parents room and now we are here" I told the doctor

"Has he ate yet?" The doctor then asked

"I tried on the way here" I said to him

"Okay we are going to do our routine procedure with a couple of tests and it can take a couple hours and parents aren't allowed back only doctors so you can have dr.Berry come in to check on him" the doctor said

"Thanks karev" my dad said to him patting his back

I suddenly hear my phone ring I see it's Noah so I get Brayden to Finn and answer my phone

"yes Noah?" I said through my phone

"I woke up to nobody opening presents or yelling or crying where is everyone?? also the kitchen wasn't smelling good either" Noah yelled in the phone

"We are at the hospital because Brayden spiked a fever" I told him

"Is he okay? What happened?" Noah asked me as he calmed down

"They are about to run tests to see everything me and Finn are going to stay here since we drove separate I'll have dad and mom go home and you guys will have Christmas" I said to my brother

"Okay I hope he'll be good bye rach" Noah said to me as he hung up

I looked towards my parents and said "mom dad I think me and Finn can handle this, I understand Brayden is your grand baby but he is our son now I want you guys to go home and calm down Noah" I tell my parents very forward

"Okay Rachel we understand, if you need us you know where to contact us" my mom said kissing me on the head and them both walking out hand in hand

I look towards finn with tears in my eyes "I just hope he is okay, I didn't want his first Christmas to be like this" I said towards finn sitting down

"Hey hey it's okay he will be a okay trust the doctors" he said kissing my lips, I then looked down at my sleeping baby boy

A moment later all of the tests are done and Brayden just has a fever, he is on baby medication that they gave us now we are on our way home with a sleeping baby who looks and feels so much better but I suddenly realize we aren't going home or to his parents

"Wait Finn we are going the wrong way" I told him

"No we aren't it's just a new way home" finn said looking at the road trying not to smile

"I don't buy it where are we going" I bribed him

"You'll see babe you'll see" Finns told me rubbing his hand above mine

We pull up to this beautiful condo that is near school and our parents houses I look at the house and I'm stunned at it

"Merry Christmas babe" finn said to me
