i saw you today.
coincidentally. accidentally.
i wasn't meant to see
you, but
i did.
and though it was
brief and professional
it. felt. great.
and though you
didn't even smile
and the only way you
greeted me was with a
'how are you?' and you
didn't reply to my reply
you did
show another kindness
you gave me an
insignificant gift
and that meant
almost everything
to me
i
feel like
your friend and that
is amazing.
i sound like a suck-up.
sure.
but you keep me going
although i stumble and fall
around you. ironically.
but, a.
you are absolutely astonishing.
awe inspiring. you are
unbelievable and so
startlingly beautiful. i'm sure
you've heard all this before
and i wish my words
had any meaning to you
but being in your presence is an honour
i hope one day soon i can
work up the courage
to speak yo you.
