Chapter 10: Ally or enemy?

After Undyne got the kid elsewhere, I decided to head to the castle. It was still far away but I was getting closer. I came across a bridge once again but this one was really tight. I was almost at the end of it when I heard the kid once again. I turned around.

Kid: Yo! Erm .... So you are a human huh? I knew it yeah... Undyne told me to never get close to you.... Does that makes you an enemy?

Y/n: I am different, maybe it's because I'm human and that they need my soul but.... You don't have to listen to anyone....

Kid: What do you mean?

Y/n: Well.... I know that I ain't your enemy but.... There are a few who still wants to kill me so....

Kid: So what? I don't have a reason to hate you... Yeah! You can be my pal! Even if Undyne says that you are a bad guy.... For me you are not one!

Y/n: Yeah, I can be your pal if you want.

I came closer to him and lowered myself at his level. I layed my hand on his shoulder.

Y/n: But even if I am... Undyne still wants me dead so... Maybe you should go home, your parents must be worried...

He looked at me for a second and then he nodded.

Kid: Yeah, you're right, I should go home.

Y/n: Stay safe!

He walked away slowly but he slipped and started to fall down, not on the bridge but... In the pit... I ran toward him. I grabbed his hand and got him back on the bridge as I heard footsteps on my right.
It was Undyne.
The kid got between her and I.

Kid: Y-y-y-yo, you! I-i-if you want to hurt my friend, you'll have to try me first!!!

She walked away.
The kid turned around.

Kid: Yo, you saved me! I knew you weren't a bad guy! I should really go home now!

He walked away.

Y/n: Bye kid!

He quickly waved at me before running off. I walked again, and I arrived at the entrance of yet another cave. I was gonna go inside when my instinct told me to look up.
She was here once again. She was looking at the castle.

Undyne: Seven... With seven souls, our king ASGORE will become a god. Six, that's how many souls we already have... Do you understand that, your soul, the seventh, is the key to a brighter future for us, monsters... But, like we use to do for the ones who get at this level...I'm gonna tell you the tragic story of our people.

She made a pause and turned around.

Undyne: It all started when.... You know what? SCREW IT!!! WHY WOULD I TELL YOU THIS WHEN YOU ARE GONNA DIE??? PREPARE YOURSELF!!!

She jumped straight at you with her spear in hand, you stepped back, dodging her. She landed and stared at me for a second.

Y/n: We don't have to do this you know?

Undyne: I HAVE TO, FOR THE MONSTERS!!!!

She threw a spear at me that I barely dodged, it grazed me enough for a little bit of blood to come out.

Y/n: Alright then... If it's a fight you want....

I looked back at her.

Y/n: I'll give you one!!!

I ran at her and tried to punch her only for her to dodge and to punch my guts. It hurts but I'm gonna live.
I got back up and dodged her fist, grabbed her arm and threw her away.
This armour made her heavy so she didn't fly really far away, but it's enough for me to run away. I heard her getting up and starting to chase me down as I entered the cave.

Undyne: COME BACK HERE YOU COWARD!!!

She was getting closer and closer, Undyne sure is fast.
I decided to stop and turn around.
She slowed down.

Undyne: You're done running away?

Y/n: No but...

I turned around.

Y/n: I have a question before I resume running.

Undyne: What is it punk?

Y/n: How can you run that fast with that armour?

Undyne: Ah! With a lot of training of course!!!

Y/n: What kind of training can make you that fast?

Undyne: Well, all you have to do is....

She realised something.

Undyne: You punk....You seem to like training huh....if you weren't human...

She took a step forward.

Y/n: I have to run again then...

I ran away as fast as I could as I heard undyne running. We were getting in a really hot place as there was lava around. We arrived near a bridge. I was still running and Undyne was getting really close but I heard her stop. I turned around. She was panting heavily.

Undyne: Too hot.... Can't breath... Shit...

She fell down from the heat as I got at her side. I got rid of her helmet and saw that she had some kind of fins replacing her hears and that she had a red ponytail. I looked around and saw a water dispenser.
Instead of getting the plastic glasses, I decided to grab the whole bottle. I brought it near her and made her drink. She slowly got up and walked away, seemingly confused by my acts.
I decided to continue my way through the cave before I burn because of the heat.
