Chapter 26: An encounter

As I approached the mountain, I felt this weird thing again, as I got closer, I started to feel anxious about something....

I was now just in front of the mountain.
I sat down and stared at it, it brought back memories, good ones.... And horrifying ones.....
All those deaths I endured, all those loses I felt.... It was dreadful, maybe.... Maybe it's just reminding myself of the events that took place here that makes me feel uneasy...

As I was thinking, I heard a loud sound, it was something I never heard before, it's impossible to describe but it almost felt like it wasn't a sound by more like a lone vibration of.....

I hurriedly looked up at the mountain but my eyes widened as a part of the mountain suddenly disappeared.
It was......where Chara was sealed.....
The feeling I felt was now totally present, it was fear! Deep inside, I knew something like that was about to happen but I refused to believe... If that's what the other souls tried to tell me.... I was too stubborn to understand...

Y/n: Oh No... This is bad!

I ran toward the town, hoping that it wasn't too late but when I got there, the town was on fire, humans were on the ground, killed, and a lot of dust was everywhere.

I ran further into the small town, trying to find anyone who was still alive....

But everyone was killed

I stood there, not knowing what to do.

Everything just went down in an instant, everything went down while I was gone.... Only an instant.....

They were now all gone, I was alone...

I was still standing there, not moving, I then heard a noise, like something was being dragged on the ground.

I looked around for the source of the noise and saw her.

Chara....

She was back and.... She was dragging an injured Sans.

Y/n: SANS!!!!

I yield as I rushed at Chara, ready to deliver a huge blow but in an instant, with that devilish smile, she blinked and I was back at my original position.
She started to chuckle.

Chara: Not so tough now are we?

Y/n: You bastard....

Chara: Haha, Come on, Try to fight me!

I gritt my teeths as I rushed again but this time, I was frown backward by an unknown force.

Chara: You've failed to save your friends and now you're failing to attack me? That's disappointing.

Y/n: W-wha-

Chara Then went on a full laugh as I was confused and frightened by what I witnessed, I couldn't even reach her... What is happening???

Suddenly, she threw sans at me, I managed to catch him but he was barely alive.

Y/n: S-sans?

Sans: Heyya kiddo....

Y/n: I'm sorry, I should've been h-

Sans: Nah, it's all good... It's not your fault that this has happened

Y/n: B-but.... What if that feeling I had was because I knew all along it would happen?

Sans: Doesn't matter, for now, I'm as good as dead, you should worry about yourself from now on...

With one last chuckle, he turned into dust as I watched, powerless, my friend die...

Chara: He opposed a little resistance... But it was nothing.

I got up, trying to summon the magic I used a few months ago, only to fail.

Chara: What are you doing? You're out of powers? Guess it was a one time use.

Y/n: S-shut up!

I ran toward her again but this time, I managed to grab her neck.

Y/n: You're gonna pay!

I was slowly snapping her neck as I thought I won, but she slowly disapeared as I felt a sharp pain.

I looked down to see a blade, and my blood leaking out.

Y/n: H-How did you gain that much power...?

She chuckled once more.

Chara: You know about cheat codes haha, now you'll die for real.

She pulled her blade out as I fell on the ground, spilling blood all over the floor.

Am I really going to die for good now?
My vision is slowly drifting to darkness.

As I slowly die and loose blood, I dive in a dark realm...

Suddenly, I heard a noise, but that noise was not natural, it seemed out of this world.

I tried to open my eyes, only to see nothing except darkness.

Y/n: I'm.....I'm not...dead?

I tried to move around, but I was numb. I could feel however that I had no stab wounds.

???: Unfortunately, you died.

I stayed silent, shocked by what I heard. Where...where does it come from....it's like that voice was everywhere....

Wait ...that voice said that.... I was really dead?

???: Yes.

I blinked and tried to get up,only go fail miserably again. I had no energy left, I felt empty.

Y/n: W-who are you?

???: My name is not what matters now young one...

Y/n: Then..... Why am I here...if I'm dead...?

???: That is the real question... For I have no answer.

I felt myself being lifted, not by someone, but by something, it almost felt like I was floating...

???: You will have to find the answers yourself...

I floated away, without being able to resist but I started to see something.

???: I will have you stay here for a while....

Dark particles started to regroup, forming a humanoid figure... It's face seemed to be a damaged skull with a devilish smile.

Gaster: Know my name.... I am Gaster and you....will be my experiment!
