A little short, I'm really tired it was nearly 9pm when I wrote this (England Time -gmt-). If there is no result by Voting Eight, there will be an ultimatum (deciding) vote.

"Sagefire is innocent," Hazelstar announced once again, and the DawnClan cats breathed out  a sigh of relief, a couple of cats still sending her wary glares. Onefeather allowed Sagefire to take a step backwards and she dashed over to her friend, Nightsoul, who quickly went to comfort the she-cat. Rushflower and Featherpaw slowly walked over to join the crowd, feeling well enough to begin normality again.

"All cats must return to camp by dusk, and there will be no evening patrols," Hazelstar muttered. The cats nodded, and the clan dispersed.

-------------------------------

Fernspeck and Sunnytuft were sat vigil around Gingerdawn's body, the tom sat there with his head hung. Fernspeck shot him a sympathetic glance, gently running her tail down his flank.

"I'm so sorry," she whispered, and he nodded, averting his widened gaze. It fell silent, the only sounds being the incessant chirping of the birds in the trees and the gently rippling effects of fish swimming in the lake water. Sunnytuft's thoughts drifted off to Rushflower and Gingerdawn, and his gentle breathing dissolved into gasps, his sobs filling the clearing. Fernspeck attempted to press against him, but he shook her off. He stood up, still struggling to control his breathing.

"Why is this happening to us?! Why would they hurt Rushflower?! Why kill Gingerdawn?!" he screeched, seething with grief and rage. "Sunnytuft, please-," Fernspeck tried, but he turned away from her. "I'll find the murderer, I'll find them before they tear my family apart!" the tom yowled, panting.

Fernspeck looked terrified of her enraged friend, and turned towards camp. "Sunnytuft, you need to calm down," she murmured sympathetically. He glared at her. "Calm down?! I have a right to be angry," the tom yelled, unsheathing his claws and swiping them across her cheek.

The clearing fell silent.

The she-cat's eyes brimmed with tears. "I-I'll get Tansymouse," Fernspeck whimpered, slowly padding to the DawnClan camp in shock. "Wait-" the tom tried, but she was gone. His silence quickly collapsed into anger again. "Its me, isn't it. All I bring is death and anger. My loved ones are dying and it's all my fault!" he screamed.

"Love," a voice murmured. "Such a burden, Sunnytuft." The tom turned to face the cat in front of him, who smiled, unsheathing it's claws. The cat approached closer. "Wh-" "Shh... It'll be over soon. All your agony will go away," it purred. With a quick, well-aimed strike, Sunnytuft collapsed to the ground, grief fading into nothingness.

"I'm doing you a favour," the cat whispered, eyes full of sadistic pleasure.

-------------------------------

Fernspeck and Tansymouse gaped with horror as they discovered Sunnytuft's body. The medicine cat tried everything to save him, but he was in StarClan, his soul joining the stars of the darkening sky.

-------------------------------

Hazelstar and Onefeather held their breath as they tried to hold back their emotions while investigating the wound. The Clan had gathered around, Rushflower shielding her kit's eyes from the body. He was mostly covered in leaves that the cats had places, but his wound was still visible.

"There's only one wound..." Onefeather muttered. "It couldn't have been an apprentice, this cat is an experienced fighter, it's too well aimed." Hazelstar's eyes widened.

-------------------------------

Hazelstar turned to face the cats behind her.

"This is getting worse, but we're closer to finding the culprit. It can't be an apprentice, unless they were really skilled, the moves were too precise."  A figure stiffened in the crowd, but nobody seemed to notice.

A voice then called out to the quiet clearing, "I accuse..."
