Tribe of Endless Hunting? More like Tribe of Endless Writer's Blocks...

Yeah sorry about this being awful but I would really recommend reading this instead of skipping straight to the voting, there are more subtle clues in here that aren't as obvious as fur/eye colour if you really look for them.

Stoneteller waited quietly for the verdict, watching his tribemates with trust and patience. As the noise slowly faded, he gestured for Peak to come and tell him the results.

His blue eyes widened at his apprentice's quiet whisper, before nodding grimly.

"Spark, you are innocent, you may return to your normal duties." the she-cat dipped her head, sprinting over to Raven and pressing against her side. "Rain... on the other hand. You have been voted guilty. Leave our tribe and don't come back." the leader snapped.

His eyes widened. "B-But I'm too young! I didn't do it, I can't cope out there on my own!" he wailed in fear. "M-Mother please!" he begged, gasping out his plea as he turned desperately to look at Lion, who stared at the floor as her eyes watered.

The tom struggled to nod, hateful attitude fading behind his terrified stance. He stumbled over to the entrance and disappeared into the trees.

RAIN HAS BEEN EXILED. HE WAS INNOCENT.

---------------

After Rain's exile, the sun had started to set, and a grey figure was illuminated by the fading light.

Flicker paced outside the camp, her thoughts racing. Bracken wasn't really dead, was he? Why did this have to happen to him? What had he done wrong?

"Are you okay?"

The she-cat whirled around, claws unsheathed, before relaxing at the sight of Raven approaching her. The black she-cat's eyes were sympathetic, and she sat down in front of her distressed mentor, wrapping her tail around her paws patiently.

Flicker sighed.

"I know Bracken is in the Tribe of Endless Hunting now, but I don't know how I can go on without him, I've known him since I was just a tiny kit..." she whispered.

Raven got to her paws, padding over to her side and pressing against her gently.

"I'll support you, I promise. It's the least I can do for the greatest mentor in the Clan," the she-cat murmured, making the cave-guard smile slightly. The two then sat in silence, watching the sun disappear below the mountain.

Raven suddenly looked at her mentor, an idea forming in her mind.

"I know this peaceful place just near the border of our territory, I go there when I need to think sometimes, how about you come with me?" the she-cat asked. Her mentor nodded, gaze inquisitive.

---------------

The two she-cats padded through the melting snow under the night sky, Flicker walking ahead. Her eyes scanned the clearing, the image of the cat leaping out of the bushes and murdering her mate still all too clear in her mind.

She glanced at the younger cat behind her, shooting her a nervous glance before returning to checking the path ahead.

"I'm okay, I promise. You won't lose me too," Raven murmured under her breath.

Flicker suddenly came to a halt, tail upright, and Raven looked at her mentor in confusion.

"What's going on?" she asked, to which Flicker shook her head, looking to her right.

Two dark shadows were waiting silently in the bushes, but when they attempted to leap out one had gotten stuck in the thorns. The other jumped through easily, turning around and pulling their struggling companion through with an annoyed glance.

"Well hello there. Out a little late aren't you?" one spoke, the other tilting their head.

Flicker unsheathed her claws. "It was your eyes I saw!" she growled. Raven began shaking her head, looking at the first cat.

"Why would you get Rain exiled? How could you do this to Swo-"

"Silence To-Be!" the second growled, barrelling into the she-cats side and pinning her to the ground. Flicker's eyes widened, and she began running to protect her apprentice, but a strong cat dragged her backwards as the second cat delivered the killing blow.

"No-!" Flicker wailed, collapsing to the ground, as the first cat moved in front of her. She glared up at it, scowling.

"I hope you live to regret this. The tribe trusted you!" she growled. The cat chuckled. "Don't worry, they will continue to do so. You'll never make it back to tell them about this. Goodnight Flicker."

A sharp swipe, a pained yowl.

Blood soaked into the ground as Flicker's body fell limp, never to move again.

---------------

Stoneteller and Stream raced along the steep mountain path, the medicine cat's mouth filled with herbs in hope to find the two she-cats, chasing the dawn's light as they followed their pawprints in a frenzy.

It was too late.

By the time they arrived at the scene, Flicker and Raven were too far gone. Stoneteller bowed his head, eyes both tired and horrified.

Stream turned to look away, before spotting something within the thorns on top of the melting snow. Black tufts of fur.

"Stoneteller... I think at least one of the murderers had black fur..."

---------------

"Flicker and Raven have been lost today... Another two innocent cats have been taken from us. We must find out who the murderers are!" Stoneteller growled in frustration.

A cat below his rock nodded, choosing their words carefully before they yowled out their vote.

"I accuse...!"
