Chapter One

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off, as I hit the snooze button. I didn't want to get up and see the California daylight but I got a message from my mom saying she left money for gas and lunch. The usual, Mom always goes to work early while I'm stuck here with my brother Calum.I understand it could be stressful to be an only parent but she never pays attention to my brother and I. She's always at work but when she's not at work she's with her boyfriend Fred, in his new mansion 2 hours away from here. I pick my head up and swing my legs over the bed facing the window. I glance at the window watching the waves as they crash into the bare sand and the seagulls already eating their meals. As I was admiring the beautiful view I have, I hear my door swing wide open. I slowly look over my shoulder to see It was Calum in my drawer taking my Black Skinny jeans again. Calum isn't the brother you've always dreamed of. He listens to punk rock, dresses like punk rock, and sings like punk rock. Honestly in my opinion he looks too innocent to be a punk rocker with his dimples and little chubby cheeks!Anyways I guess he can be a good brother but sometimes he gets on my nerves like right now for example. I get up and stand right behind Calum as he's shuffling through my drawer.

"Umm what are you doing!?!" I say loud enough to make him jump.

"Oh hiya, just getting a pair of your jeans so I can wear them to school" Calum says.

"Who said you can take my jeans and put holes in them?" I asked.

"I did" Calum says while smiling.

"This is the third time you took my black jeans! I only have one pair left. Can't you buy a pair for yourself instead of taking your sisters?!"

"Well I'm to lazy to go out and buy them so I borrow yours"

"You're not taking my jeans, Calum."

"Pleaseee, you said u promise to get me a surprise present last week" hoping I wouldn't recall ever saying that.

"Well, I didn't say that so get out and get ready for school."

"Ugh fine but I'm getting those later when you're fucking your boyfriend Todd." He says with a smirk and a little chuckle.

"Ummm first of all we never had sex.Second of all no your not, Now get out" as I slowly push him out of the room and shut the door to get ready for school.

I put my jean shorts and white tank top on. I put my brown Combat boots on and look in the mirror. Seeing my rib cage stick out and my almost six pack. I wasn't happy in what I did to myself but my life wasn't good in the past couple months. To get my mind off of that I turned my straightener on and straightened my long light brown hair and started to put make up on. I'm so thankful that in my family we don't get bad acne, it's a blessing I guess. I put perfume on and grab my white bag. I started to head down the stairs with Calum and out the door. Before we go to school every morning we stop at Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. I always drive Calum to school because "he's to lazy" to drive himself, like always. As we finished our bagels and sip on our coffees, I pull into the parking lot and see my boyfriend Todd with his football team outside the school. I glance to see him walking over to my car.

"Hey babe" Todd says through the window.

"Oh hey" I say while kissing his lips awkwardly. I get out of the car and give him a quick hug.

"Ew get a room" Calum said quietly.

"We did once but then you walked in" Todd smirks at him.

"Ugh don't remind me" Calum says as he walks towards his friends as I giggled.

"Are you ready?" Todd asks.

"Yup" I said smiling.

Our fingers intertwine as we slowly walk into the double doors of BreakWood High School. This high school isn't that bad once you get used to it, but by now I'm used to it. I always ask myself while I'm in school what's my future like. Am I going to be with Todd? What college am I going to? Am I going to have kids? These are the questions I ask myself all the time.Also-

"What's your first class?" Todd asks, bringing me back to reality.

"Um History" I said.

"Oh okay. I'm on the opposite side of the school so I got to go. Meet you at lunch?" He asks. I nod giving him a quick kiss before we go our separate ways. That was weird. His class isn't on the opposite side, at least I thought it wasn't. I don't know, I guess he had to run something to someone or take a test.

I arrive at history class and I see Bella, I've known Bella since I was 5 years old and we've been best friends ever since. She had the perfect beach blonde hair anyone can ever think of. I walk over to sit in the desk next to her. We started talking about shoes and what to wear the next day like the usual conversations we have, when my name got called down to the principal office. I always get nervous getting called there because I'm a good girl and I don't do anything bad. Well I do drink and cuss but that shouldn't involve the school because I didn't get caught. I headed my way to the principal office and I walk into the room to see an unfamiliar blonde boy sitting in the chair. I slowly walk to the chair as I sit next to him. I take a quick glance at this boy. He had beautiful blue eyes and very long skinny legs. He wore skinny jeans and a beanie to cover his messy blonde hair. He had a Nirvana shirt on but i don't know what Nirvana is. It's probably a store or a brand or-

"Hi Samantha." Principal Peas said catching me off guard.

"Hi" I said with an awkward smile.

"You're not in trouble don't worry." He laughs."I called you down today because I wanted to ask if you can help out my friend Luke find his classes. He's new and I thought you would be a kind enough student to show him?" He asked.

"Sure I'll show him around" I said shyly

"Great! Thank you Samantha." He says as walking to the door to let us out. I'm not very good at meeting new people because I only have like 4 friends like cmon more stress and pressure on my plate.
