You groan as you snuggle further into your pillow. You shiver, and try to pull your blanket up, only to find that you weren't covered by your blanket. You open your eyes and look up wearily, only to see that you were in fact, not on your bed.
"Dirk." You sleepily mumble.
Dirk's uncovered orange eyes look down at you where you lay on his lap.
"I see you're awake."
"Sorry I fell asleep on you."
"Its fine," he shrugs, "at least you didn't end up like Dave."
You look over at the single seater couch where Dave was passed out. His shades had slid off and he was leaning on his own shoulder, drooling. The sight causes you to chuckle.
"I think I'll take him to bed." You say, sitting up.
"You sure you can carry him?"
"Yeah, he'll be as light as a feather." You shrug.
"Alright, you can come and continue watching this with me if you'd like."
You nod and stand up. You walk over to Dave and scoop him up.
"It's like carrying a baby." You grin at Dirk and walk out towards Dave's room.
You wander in and avoid all of the stuff that was scattered over the floor. As gently as you can you lay Dave down on his bed. You cover him with his blanket; sit his shades by his bed and go to sneak out. You pause when you hear whimpering. You turn back around to see that Dave had curled up into a ball. You wince as you realise how much this reminded you of the times you woke up in a sweat after a nightmare.
You walk back over to the bed and sit on the edge. You begin to run your hand through his hair.
"It's okay Dave," you try to soothe him; "it's just a dream."
You feel Dave's arms wrap around your waist.
"Calm down, there's no need to worry."
Slowly, Dave begins to calm down. You think that he was going to continue sleeping, but his eyes blink open slowly. He looks up and looks quite confused at the sight of you. His red eyes bright against the darkness of the room.
"(Y/n)? When did I get in here? Why're you in here?" he begins bombarding you with questions sluggishly.
"Well I moved you since you looked uncomfortable on the seat," you shrug, "and you began to have a nightmare so I tried to soothe you out of it."
Dave unravels his arms from your waist and lays back onto his bed.
"Oh, well, thanks."
"No problem," you smile, "see you in the morning."
"Wait!"
You jump slightly at the loud voice and look back at Dave.
"I know this is childish, but, could you stay here?"
"Sure." You smile.
You lay down in the bed next to Dave.
"I never had anyone to stay with me after nightmare," you admit, "so I know how it feels."
Dave nods, you were pretty sure he was embarrassed.
"Well, night Dave."
"Night (y/n)."
~~~
"Well, well, well," a voice awakens you from your slumber, "Dirk was wondering when you'd be back."
You open your eyes and look over at the door to see Bro leaning against the door frame.
"Oh, yeah, I was too tired to move so I just slept here." You shrug.
"Alright then," Bro shrugs, "just letting you know you should get up to get ready for school."
Once Bro disappears you look back over at Dave, who was just lying down, his eyes open.
"Thanks for that."
"No problem."
You rub your eyes, removing the sleep from them before sitting up.
"We should get ready for school." You tell him.
"Yeah." He nods and sits up.
You get up from the bed and begin to head out of the room.
"Don't forget we're gonna walk to school together." You hear Dave state.
"Of course," you nod, "see you once I get ready."
