Dylan came in and look at Brant and then look back at me questioning.
"I'll take her home." Brant said.
"I'm not done yet with you kid!" Dylan said.
"I know.. I'll come and meet you after I take her home."
"Take my car then.. I can take a cab and waiting you at my house." Brant nodded and took his jacket.
"I don't wanna go home." It just slipped out of my mouth before I even realized what I was saying. Both of them look at me.
"I have no time to argue with you." with that Brant stare me like I'm one of his prey. His stare send shivers down to my spine.
"Hailey, come on, it's afternoon..you said you'll be home after I get back here, remember?" I look at Dylan and start walking following Brant behind.
Brant didn't even look at me, he became so distant recently. I don't know what's going on in my head right now. Being quiet with him while we go down into the elevator to the basement. I have tons and tons of questions in my mind, I don't even know what happen with me, everything about Brant does fascinates me and I find my self craving more and more of him. The more I find out, the more I want to know anything related to him. What happen with myself?!!! Argh!
I walk closer while Brant open the back door of the car but whether go inside to the open door, I pull the handle of the front door of the car and slid in without he even can said a word, I closed the door.
He stand for awhile before closed the door and get in the driver seat. I think he doesn't in the mood talking to me. I should be scared, I should be quiet but I can't, I just can't.. I just want him to talk to me. Don't blame me for being such a nosy girl but blame him, why he should give me such a peculiar feelings whenever I'm with him.
"I want to know more about you" I bravely said.
"What do you want to know?" he keep his stare on the road.
"Anything about you"
"Nothing special about me."
"I don't need something special, I just need to know what's happened with you." I tried to be honest.
And he suddenly pull over and look at me.
"Yes.. it was a bullet wound, someone shoot me. Clear?" I look at him, so many inquiries on my head, why someone shoot him? What happened? Does it still hurts? Why you have a gun with you? Are you a cops? Or you're the criminal? And many many question start make a line in my mind.
"You're done with your mind?" He asked and I shakes my head. I couldn't see or read his countenance. Is he mad? Or angry? Or annoyed with me?
Then something caught my attention. My tummy grumble for food. It's afternoon and I'm not even have a proper food since I wake up this morning. I hold my tummy, I hope he won't hear that.. Dear tummy, please be quiet!!! It's so embarrassing!
I closed my eyes but I can hear brant turn off the engine and get out from the car. Oh! It's so embarrassing! Hailey what a nice way to humiliating yourself. Then I see he already standing beside the door and open the door beside me.
"What are you doing? Are you not taking me home?" I asked try to be calm as I can.
"I hear the dragon craving for food." Okay. He heard that!
I get out from the car standing next to him while after a second I was standing, he put his cap on me and took his shade from his jaket pocket and put it on me.
"I don't wanna make any trouble today." He said and intertwined our fingers and start lead the way into the Mc donals. Oh my God! Jay gonna kill me If I eat this but I always craving for having burgers and fries.
We both walking and get in the line and there's so many people in the line, I hold his hand tighter than before to sign him how nervous am I to be in this public place. One wrong move and they know I'm hailey and they're will start taking a picture or many other things. Doesn't meant I don't like being a spotlite, I try to used for it but not in the public place not even in McDonald's.
Brant release his grip and then circling his arms on my waist until we have no more space while our body touched each other.
Breath. Breath. Breath. I think my lungs having a malfunction to absorb some air into it.
"Two big mac and two large lemon tea take away" He order to the cashier and pay the bills.
"You have a beautiful girlfriend." I look at the cashier, a half middle age woman and give a smile to her.
"Take the change" he said and took the paper bag while his hand still rest on my shoulder.
Not long after, he open the front door and let me in. I smile and slid in the door while holding the paper bag. I can't believe I can buy McDonald's by myself in the public area. I open the cap and his shades and start dig in the paper bag. Big mac!!! If Jay know this, he will punished me with one hundreds squats, Ahhhh I don't care! I'm hungry! Having a big mac wasn't a crime right.
I start to eat my big mac.. Hmmm taste like heaven.. I take a look when someone beside me clear his throat. I look at him shyly and he took the paper bag on my lap and eat his burger too.
"Thank you this is so nyummy" I smile and nodded at the same time.
"hmm.. better than salad or protein shake right?" he give a smirk on his face.
"Well actually, I have to concern about the meal that I've consumed, but having a big mac once doesn't a big deal right? This taste so good!" I give him my thumbs up.
"Does it still hurt?" I pointed his arm.
"Not really.. I get used the pain"
"Want me to drive? My driving skill is pretty good." I said while done with my burger.
"No.. thanks" he chuckles with his perfect smile.. what did I just said? perfect smile? Come on Hailey! you're crazy! oh God! what is he doing? He come closer to me. Oh my god! Is he gonna kiss me? But why?! Why am I even asking why? Hell to the earth Hailey!! Then I shut my eyes waiting what happens next. You have no idea how crazy my heart beating.
He's going kiss me! He's going to kiss me! Oh my God! I should use my strawberry lipbalm this morning! Damn it I forgot it!!!
Click. After seconds nothing happen just that sounds and I felt strap on my body. I open my eyes slowly, while he smirk on me. Oh!!!! He can even read my mind!!! Damn you Hailey!!!!
"Fasten your seatbelt, we're going back to your home.. brat!" And he drive leaving me speechless on myseat.
