11. Stay

I see him sit beside me, he held my chin gently and put cream on my left cheek.

"This will reduce the pain" He said and look at me.

I have no words to said, I just hugging him tightly, cry on his embrace. He don't ask anything, he just let me be.. he just embrace me tightly and caress my back.

"I don't wanna go home" I whisper while still sobbing.

"Your father is looking for you"

"I don't wanna go home" I repeated what I said and look at him annoyed.

I see he look at me for awhile and get his phone out to call someone. When I wanna grab his phone, in one move he catch my hands and turn me around with my back touched his chest and his hand held my mount prevent me to talk. I can even feel his breath send shiver to my crooked of neck. I tried to move but he held me tightly with his hulk figure.

"I found her.. hmm.. I'll take her home immediately.." he talk through the phone, right on my left ear.

I bite one of his finger with my mounth and he release his grip. I turn around facing him.

"You!!!! Leave me alone!!" I burst angrily.

"Just let him know that you are okay."

"Do I look okay?" I raised my voice.

"Give me back my car keys?" I offer my palm to him.

He shown me his phone and shut the phone down and give it back on my palm.

I look at him questioning his act.

"You don't wanna go home? Okay.. we don't go home.." I take his phone and put it back on the pocket of his suit. I just sighed and walk away from him, I have no more energy to argue with him. I walk and sit on the bench nearer the fence that shown me the view of city. Full of lights.

"You know? One day my mom told me about how things not always happen as we want it to be, but It's okay.. You just have to go through it.. like the waves will always touched the shore, all you have to do just learn to ride the waves." Brant sit beside me but I keep my eyes to the view.

"But I don't know how to surf" I look at him.

"And learn to surf then." he look at me.

And for the first time, today I smile genuinely. I can even smile on my worst day. I always listen what my father said but not today. I'm such a rebel girl today.

"You don't ask me what happen today?"

"hmmm something bad I guess"

"Worst to be exact." and he chuckled and I did too.

"Nice to hear that statement from your mother.. I hope I can meet her one day.. she must be an amazing woman."

"If only I can do that too." that makes me turn and look at him.

"Why? You just can come if you want to meet her?" He just look at me and smile.

"I wish I know any transportation to go to heaven to met her."

"Sorry... I- I don't.. I don't mean-" I shuttered.

"That's okay.."

"Sad but true.. they've been left us and took away the part of us with them.. how can we survive without that missing part? It's hard, you know.. to live without them.." I wipe the tears that came out again. I miss mom, I miss Hana too.. They have been left me for over 5 years..

"Can we stay for awhile? I'll promise you can take me home after the sunrise." He just nodded and we just stay silent.

I put my head on his shoulder.. I'm so exhausted, not only my body but also my soul, I've been crying like there's no tomorrow for hours..

"Thank you.. Brant" I whisper and close my eyes.
