Taylor Swift is by far my favorite singer. her music just calms me for some reason. I'm laying on my bed singing to her song "White Horse" when I hear a knock on the door. I sit on the bed hoping that whoever at the door will just go away, when there is another knock on the door, this time more persistent. I quickly do a mental check to see if someone was supposed to come over, to come up with no one. I quickly scramble to my closet to get the gun out. Another knock at the door. I am suddenly glad that Ashley forced me buy the gun. I walk to the door taking a breath, I open the door and point the gun, eyes closed.
"Whoa lexi, chill it's me," a familiar voice said.
I open my eyes to see Ashley standing in the door way. I quickly lower the gun and let Ashley in.
"I left my keys at home and my phone died," Ashley quickly answered my unasked question. She goes to put her phone on the charger when she trips and a piece of paper falls out of her pocket. I quickly run over to grab the piece of paper, and right before I can grab it Ashley pulls my ankle and makes me fall. She crawls toward the piece of paper and I kick her side, making her fall over, and grab the paper. I stand up and open the paper to find a time and phone number. I quickly look over the number again and recognize it.
"ASHLEY DO YOU HAVE A DATE WITH BRYCE ON SATURDAY?" I ask hoping that she does.
She blushes fearcly and take that as a yes. I squeal loudly because I was secretly (or not so secretly) hoping he would ask her out. I force her to sit on the couch and tell me all the details.

I am currently stacking soup cans at the local store, that's what the locals in Manchester call it, the local store. The name is so creative I can't-.
My thoughts are interrupted when I spot a handsome guy, no, man looking at me. I turn my head trying to hide my blush. I look back up so I can get a good look at him. He has dark brown eyes and hair. His lips are full, and his eyes are small but big at the same time. The man starts walking toward me, and I decide it's a good time to stop staring.
"Hey, do you know where the soup is?" the man asks.
"Um, right here," I point in front of me at the soup.
"Oh. I didn't see it there. Thank you very much," he grins widely at me. I notice his perfect white teeth.
"Anything else you may need?"
"Um, yeah," he pauses to look at my name tag, "Lexi, can I get your number?" he asks quickly scratching the back of his neck.
I just stand there for a minute shocked, that he asked me for my number. To be honest no one has ever asked me for my number.
"Uh, I guess that's a no?" the man asks.
"I don't know your name."
"Lexi, wait no, that's your name. Hayes, my name is Hayes," he says nervously.
I laugh at his nervousness and decide 'whats the harm' and give him my number. He promises to call me tonight when he gets home.
I nod and get back to stacking cans. I stack cans for a while and find my mind shifting toward Hayes. The longer I work the more anxious I get for him to call tonight.
