Hi I have a two-hour delay so I'm updating XD
---------------

You know that one train that always seems to take, like, seven billion hours to get to the train station? Like, it says it's gonna come at 6:00 and then ends up coming TWO HOURS LATER (that actually happened once).

Well, I'm really glad that wasn't my train!

Ha, you all thought I was gonna complain about my train being late for the entire chapter. In your face, suckers!!!

Right now, I'm on a train heading straight to DC. I was honestly suprised I was let on the train in the first place. I'm only twelve, and I'm traveling out of the state all by myself. But that's fine with New Yorkers, I guess. I have everything I need- a map, a few bags of chips, a water bottle, a wallet of money with 100 dollars in it (courtesy of Owen's filthy rich dad) and a knife. I also called my parents to tell them where I was going. Mom was pretty angry, but Dad explained how much this needed to be done.

The train starts to move, and I feel the bottom of my seat vibrate as the train leaves. I wish I had brought a book. Everyone else is reading or talking to people. I didn't bring a book, and there's no way in heck I'm just going to talk to some random person. So instead, I just take out my phone and plug in my headphones and listen to music.

The first song that plays is Centuries by Fall Out Boy. It makes me think of the situation I'm in and how real it is. This is probably going to be one of the greatest adventures I'm ever going to have in my life. Before, everything I did- all of my fighting- was just in Minecraft. But now that I'm in the physical world... everything seems really real. If I fail, all of America is going to be taken over. And once Herobrine's done with the US, I'll bet he'll move onto other countries.

I must have fallen asleep on the train or something, because the ride seems to take a lot shorter time than I had expected it to. But whatever.

I step off the train, hurry onto the platform, and gasp when I see the scenery around me.

This place. Is. AMAZING!

I've seen pictures of Washington DC before. My friend Shawny and his family went there for Christmas vacation, and he spammed my phone every single day with photos. But I'd never seen it in person before. I wish Bryne could have come with me... she'd love it so much. We could sit in front of the Lincoln Memorial, watching the sunset... and she would-

No. No one needs to know about your crush on Bryne.

Oh frick, I thought that out loud didn't I?

Dammit. I'll kill all of you if you say anything to her, ya hear me?!

Beside the point, I'm starving. I wonder if there are any good food places around here... there's probably a Dunkin Donuts in the train station.

There was a Dunkin in the train station, but there was also a pizza place. And if you're like me, pizza is life. So I just went there instead.

"Hi. Table for one please?" I say to the lady working there.

"Just you, son?" she says.

I nod.

"Okay, follow me." She sits me at a table near the back of the restaurant, and then says, "do you want me to take your order now?"

"Sure. Can I have a Cherry Coke please?"

The waitress nods, walks off, and then comes back with my soda. "And you want anything to eat?"

"Yeah. May I please have a slice of plain cheese pizza and a side of garlic fries?"

"Sure. Wait, do you have money to pay for this?"

"How much does it cost?"

"Right now... three dollars and forty-five cents."

"Then yes."

"Alright," she says. "I'll be back with your order in a little bit."

I take out my phone and scroll through Tik Tok to pass the time. During the time I'm waiting, Bryne texts me- how you doing?

Fine. Ordered pizza.

Cool. <3 Haven't found jenny yet but we think we know where they could be. ill update you on it soon. bye!

I smile to myself. The waitress brings back my pizza and I take a bite. Dear God, this is delish. This is so much better than the organic pizza my mom always makes us buy because I apparently need to lose weight.

Then, this idiot a few booths away from us yells, "someone turn on the volume! There's breaking news!"

One of the guys working here grabs the remote and turns up the volume so the whole place can here. I put my cell phone down and look up attentively.

One of the reporters- I think his name's Mike, I'm not sure honestly- says, "everyone, I have some sad news. I say with regret that the First Lady, Ella Turner, was killed earlier this evening at 9:53. This has been the third political murder today, and we're starting to think that someone might be after President Robbins."

I gasp, my heart panicking. This doesn't make sense. Herobrine's supposed to still be in New York City. How is it that Turner just died? Unless he's got an acquaintance, which doesn't make sense- for the most part, he likes to work alone. Then that must mean... that he's here...

A picture comes up next to the reporter.

"This is the only image the security cameras were able to catch of the murderer. We've looked closely at the screenshot, and we found some odd things about the killer. For one thing, he looked to be somewhere between eight and ten feet tall, which is unnatural for human growth. And this next part you're never gonna believe."

The camera zooms in on the guy's face.

"The killer also seemed to have a quite unusual eye color- his eyes seemed to be just plain white. We don't know who it is, but what we do know is that it is the same person that killed the chief guard and his associate this morning, so he is very, very dangerous. If you live near the White House, or even in Washington DC, I suggest you lock your doors and keep your kids indoors because if this gets out of hand any more, this could be the most tragic event in American history since 9/11."

I almost choke on my pizza. "This doesn't make sense!" I say way too loudly. "Why the hell is he here?! He's supposed to be back in New York!!!"

Then I realize that everyone's staring at me. Crap.

"Do you know who the killer is?" one of the people in the restaurant says.

"N-no. I just got a text from my aunt about my uncle coming here," I say quickly.

I get up and pay for my pizza to the waitress.

"Are you sure you want to go out there?" she asks me. "The reporter said that kids shouldn't go outside on their own."

"Yeah, I'm sure..." I say. "I gotta be somewhere...."

It was true. Except the place that I had to be was somewhere that I really didn't want to be.
