CHAPTER 21: THE FLASHBACK.......

Jerry: " Ms Black I knew Kevin Li from before."

"The same KEVIN LI, CEO the Billionaire who disappeared from Hongkong?" asked Brenya.

Jerry : "Yes The one and only."

Brenya:  "How? "

"You left Hong kong long back. "

Jerry : "Ms Black just be patient and listen. "

"I will tell you the whole story how I knew Kevin Li."

Jerry Liang and Ricardo Li attended the same school.

Ricardo Li and we used to call him Ric was second cousin of Kevin Li.

But he and Kevin Li were poles apart both in looks and behaviour.

Ric was happy go lucky and always smiling but very compassionate whereas Kevin was arrogant and always showed his rich attitude.

Ric was tall but not as tall as Kevin and he was ruggedly handsome.

Ric was a research Scientist in Kevin's company and was engaged to his long term girlfriend Rita.
But destiny proved otherwise and he was one of the victim of that accident.

Kevin suspected Changki alias Monk of intentionally causing the accident but till date the police were not able to established it.

Kevin Li could not come out from that fiasco.

I was in London that time and was busy preparing for the test of this job as well as part time job.

It was heart wrenching for me when I saw his fiance who could not accept his death.

I never knew Kevin Li and Ric were related because I never met him.
I could not put together the Li surname.

It seemed he was all along in USA and all his studies were done there only.
He returned only to take over the company from his grandfather.
When he saw me he came and....

Kevin:  "Hello are you friend of Ricardo?"

"I am Kevin Li Ricardo's cousin."

"In fact, second cousin."

"You are?"

Jerry:  "I am Jerry Liang from Hongkong only and  presently I am in London with my dad."

"Born and brought up in Hongkong."

Kevin: "How do you connect with Ricardo?"

Jerry: "Well Mr Li, Ricardo and myself were school buddies."

"We all went to the same school here."

"In fact Rita his fiance was also our classmate."

They were going around since school days and got engaged.
It was such a blow  for Rita not to even see the face of her fiance. The mangled mass of body was immediately put in the coffin for burial.
She was devastated.

I could still see the smiling photo of Ric which was placed on top of his coffin.
Jerry became emotional and his voice was choking.
He stopped and tried to blink back the tears which was threatening to fall any second.

Brenya: "Here Jerry you need it and passed him the tissue and drink."

"Pause for sometime and rest and we will talk tomorrow."

Jerry:  "Nope Ms Black I wanted to talk about it and get it out of my chest otherwise I would not be able to talk at all.

"I had been struggling to talk it out with you Ms Black. "

Then Jerry closed his eyes and tried to suppress the streaming tears.

Both of them were sitting with their own thoughts.
