𖣔Chapter 5- The Edge𖣔

-(y/n)'s p.o.v-

The next morning was smooth and simple. We'd had all our stuff packed the night before so we left smoothly. I take off and Hiccup follows. He looks up and smiles at me, and I can feel myself blush. He notices me looking and blushes as well. Toothless suddenly swoops towards (d/n) and her pearlescent scales seem to glimmer more brightly. She rubs the side of her face against Toothless and he does the same. Hiccup groans and slips off and I copy him. We fly side by side, and Toothless and (D/n) do the same. I blush as Hiccups hand brushes against mine, then I pull intro he clouds to get away from
the tension of being with him.
————Time skip————
We land on The Edge soon later, and a group of people about Hiccups age come to meet him and a pretty blonde girl with ocean blue eyes and a plait in her hair hugs him and kisses him lightly on the cheek. Astrid. I don't feel anger, or a thirst to destroy her, or get them to break up. I just feel an endless sadness. A depression sweeping through me like an ice bucket. But why though? I don't like him, or do I? No. No, no, no, no, no. He has a girlfriend and he's happy. He has a girlfriend and he's happy. He has a girlfriend and he's happy. I sigh loudly. That's when the 'gang' noticed me. There was; an overweight, blonde haired boy with bright eyes, There was a smug looking black haired boy who was flexing his muscles, There were a pair of twins, locking in a head combat and there was Astrid, Spikes on her shoulder pieces and skirt.

"H-hi! I-I'm (y/n). Hiccup sorta... found me in an island. Sooo..." I mutter nervously.

"I'm FishLegs!" Says the overweight boy.

"I'm Snotlout!" Says the black haired boy. "Ya know, ya boyfriend?" I roll my eyes.

"I'm Ruffnut!" Says the girl twin.
"And I'm Tuffnut!" Says the boy twin.

"And I'm Astrid!" Says Astrid. Hiccup smiles. "Can you fight?" Astrid asks as though she had been bursting to say it. "I suppose?" Astrid leaps at me and I take out a flaming double sided axe and leap at her. She dodged but I flip and stand in front of her. I block her shot with my axe and she falls back, and I unleash my flaming sword, and pin to the floor.

"I win," I say. An evil grin spreading across my face. Astrid looks scared, then grins.

"Welcome to the Edge!" She says, and fist bumps me. I grin, my sadness pushed down, for now...

Dinner was cooked Yak with a sip of Yak milk. I made a yak cake, and we all went off to bed. I was offered to sleep  in Astrid's house, and I accepted.

"Here we are!" Astrid said, as we reached a sky blue house.

"Wow! A Deadly Nadder!"

"Yeah! This is Stormfly! She's my best friend! Aren't you girl?" She says, scratching Stormfly under the chin. "Come in!" She says, opening the door.

"It's really nice offering me to
Stay here!"

"Ahh, it's fine!" She walks in and lights lamps inside the house. I eagerly step in and then yawn. "Where do you wanna sleep?"

"The couch is fine."

"Ok! I'll get you some clothes then we can talk for a bit!"

"Ok!"

——time skip——
"So.... how did you and Hiccup get together?" I ask nervously.

"I was blind and he was going to kiss me and then when I regained my eyesight... everything fell into place. I liked him and he liked me! So... you know..." I nod.

"Do you have a family?" She asks. I shake my head.

"Savages my dragons. My mother died giving birth to me and my dad died protecting me. Said my mother wouldn't want me to die, and then got burnt by a dragon. I never saw my older brother since he was kidnapped. All I had was (d/n)." I explained, a tear running down my cheek. Astrid sees it in the dim light and hugs me, tightly.

"You've it is now. Your not alone anymore." She says, a comforting tone in her voice. I smile.
