The rest of the day flies by quickly. Ash, Hannah, Tierno, Sawyer, and Alain have all made it to the 2nd round, with Trevor facing a massive defeat in the hands of Hannah. With the next round being tomorrow, Ash leaves Greninja in Nurse Joy's care overnight, to make sure he has a good rest. When Ash drops him off, he walks out of the main building to see his three travelling companions waiting for him.

"Come on, Ash! We wanna go to dinner!" Bonnie exclaims in her cheerful voice, "Okay, what do you all feel like?" Ash asks his friends, only to receive three completely different answers.

"Well, I'm fine with anything. But, I don't know if there's a place that sells Pineapple Pizza, Katsudon, and Chicken Schnitzel respectively."

"I know! There's a food court that does in Lumiose City!" Clemont remembers. And just like that, the four of them are off to the train station.

All of them are holding their respective trays which hold their food for dinner. All are walking around the busy food court, trying to get a table for them to eat at. They were just about to regroup when Serena place her tray on a table. She then calls for all of her friends, and they eat in peace. Serena eating Chicken Schnitzel, Bonnie eating Pineapple Pizza, and Clemont eating Katsudon. Ash opted to eat a burger, because it was big enough to fill his huge appetite. They eat in a comfortable silence, only creating small talk about the next round tomorrow. When all plates are clear of food, the group then decide to go shopping for a bit.

"Do you need to buy anything for tomorrow, Ash?" Serena asks him, "Um... Maybe just some potions would be good." Ash remembers. "Potion shopping? Again?" Bonnie asks in a defeated tone, her body sinking to the ground in despair.

"I'll go with the girls to shop for clothes, Ash. Will you be okay on your own?" Clemont questions him, "I'll be fine. I've got Pikachu with me, so it'll all be okay." Ash exclaims, and Pikachu then chants its name once more, confirming Ash's comment.

The three of them then split off from each other. Serena, Clemont and Bonnie all going towards the fashion side of the mall, and Ash going towards the Pokémon side of it.

While Ash is walking by himself, he can't stop thinking about Hannah again. 'Why does this girl always come to my mind when it not occupied? Heck, she comes to my mind even when I'm doing something!' Ash looks around where he has stumbled to. He's in what looks like a farmers market. Stalls surrounding a fountain in the middle of the area.

It also looks like a wishing fountain, because kids keep throwing coins into the waters. Ash being very curious approaches the water and stares down at his reflection. 'Am I good enough to win the league this time? Can I really do it?' Pikachu notices Ash's glum look, and proceeds to nuzzle its cheek against him. Ash then gives a small laugh, and proceeds to hug his companion. He then reaches into his pocket, and grabs out one Poke Dollar to throw into the fountain.

'I wish...' He thinks, 'I wish for-' his train of thought is cut off by a group of children fighting over something. Immediately Ash goes to approach the three boys, but stops when someone beats him to it, Hannah.

The three of them are fighting over what seems to be a cookie. All of them are yelling rude proclamations at each other, but not rude enough to be taken seriously. Hannah then breaks the children up and grabs the cookie, holding it in mid-air. The boys then begin to thrash around her, trying to get their treat back. "Be quiet!" Hannah exclaims, and the three of them shut up. Hannah has also gained the attention of many civilians in the area.

"Tell me, why are you fighting over this cookie?" She questions them, "Well w-we found some money on the g-ground and bought it, b-but we can't decide who should get it." The oldest looking boy stutters. Hannah then proceeds to smile a little, and heads over to the stand which sold the treats. She buys two more and hands one to each of the boys.

"You shouldn't be fighting over something as simple as this." Hannah begins, "You instead should share it because I can guarantee next time, someone won't just buy you more, okay?" The three boy's looks of nervousness turn to glee, and they stroll away happily, but quickly thank her for all she has done. When the three are out of sight, Hannah then turns to meet eyes again with Ash.

The two of them stare at each other for a while, before Hannah finally snaps out of it by shaking her head slightly, and proceeds to speak. "You're the boy with the Greninja, right?" Hannah asks, totally catching Ash off guard. He then begins to straighten up, and replies, "u-um yeah, that's me." He then extends his hand out, and the cheerful attitude he always has comes back to him once again. "Hi! My name's Ash, and this is my partner, Pikachu!" Pikachu then does his cry.

Hannah stares at the hand for a little while, before her calm look comes through, and extends her arm too. "Nice to meet you Ash. My names Hannah, and this is my partner, Weavile." Weavile then does its signature cry. The two of them then connect their hands together for a handshake. When their hands connect, a small shock surges through each of their bodies.

They both are a little startled by it, but they still hold hands for a little longer. They finally let go of each other's hands, and look back at each other once more. Both of their Pokémon jump off of their respective shoulders and have a chat at the foot of their trainers.

"You must be a strong trainer, Hannah!" Ash begins, a shocked look appearing on her face not long after, "You defeated Trevor so quickly, and with a type disadvantage! That Lucario of yours must be very strong!"

"Thank you, Ash. Laura and I have been through a lot together." Hannah trails off, and then remembers something.

She grabs out a Pokéball from her pocket and proceeds to hold it in her hand. "How about I show you how strong Laura is? Laura against your Greninja. Right here, right now." Ash is ecstatic with the offer, but then realises his Greninja isn't with him currently and continues on saying, "I can't sorry. Greninja is back at the Pokémon centre, healing up right now."

Hannah then sighs and places her Pokéball back in her pocket. "Tomorrow, after the second round, you and me, in the forest behind the Vert building. I need to see how you and your Pokémon do something so abstract." Hannah finishes, only receiving a nod from Ash in return. "I'll see you tomorrow, Ash." Hannah turns around and her back faces Ash. "I will, see you then!" Ash cheers. He then begins to walk away, but Hannah's starts speaking again.

"I'll be watching you tomorrow, if you mess up, I wouldn't bother meeting me." She then walks away with her Weavile hopping on her shoulder, leaving Ash stunned. "Well, Pikachu." The said Pokémon hops on his shoulder, "I guess we can't lose tomorrow." Ash tells his friend, and begins to head towards the potions shop. 'She really is something. 'I need to meet with the professor, and seek some help' Ash thought, determination surging through his body once more. He finds all the potions he needs and meets back up with his friends shortly after.

"What do we have here? A romance in the making?" A certain pink haired popped out from behind a bush. "I hope it is, the two of them look so cute together!" A purple head poked his head out too. "I really hate to, but how about we show up to their little 'date'. It's prime Pokéball picking time!" Two ears and a head emerge from the bush now, the three of them looking stupid. But hey, they always do.

"No! I refuse! I would rather watch quietly from a distance and get all the drama in!" James begins to speak. "You watch way too many romance shows." Jessie claims, looking James directly in the eye.

James feels instantly offended by this, and continues on saying, "It's better than the Pokémon Lifestyle channel you make us watch all the time!" James shoots.

"Excuse me, my shows aren't as bad as the Worst Pokémon Fails show Meowth puts us through!"

"My shows are comedy gold thank you very much!" Soon, all three of them are getting into a huge fight. They end it soon though, the three of them come to their senses and mutter quick apologies. "Anyway, she looks very strong, no doubt she'll be a perfect gift for the boss! So, let's grab that Hannah girl!" Jessie yells.

"Her Pokémon we could trade for a pearl!" Meowth adds.

"Let's give it a whirl!" James finishes, and soon after, they're heading for the forest, where their 'secret base' is currently set up. New threats and old ones too are appearing left and right. Let's just hope when they fight the bad guys, they use all their might.

"Meowth, that's right!"
