As I work on beautifying one of my guests, Denise asked me about some other things about (Y/n), she asks about her a lot where sometimes it would reach to the point where I wished that she would stop having such interest in her,
"She would always try her very best into making me smile when I was still in that job." I state, shaking my head nostalgically at those fond memories. I saw Denise raise her eyebrow in confusion,
"Try to make you smile? What weren't you always the same Undertaker as you were before?" She asks perplexedly, I gave off a cheeky grin, "Y'know. I wasn't always so giggly and all that," I explain to her, "I didn't really smile when I was still working, unfortunately for me she noticed this and made it her lifelong goal to make me crack even the tiniest of smiles," I finish,
"Her efforts were quite the entertainment, although her attempts were a complete failure, her determination never faltered even a tiny bit,"

I sighed deeply to myself in exasperation as I stared at my dear friend, (Y/n) as she was seated beside me, thinking intensely on how she could make me smile or even better than smiling; laughing.
Her eyes lightened up and she began to open her mouth, but after a while she then closed it again as she shakes her head in disapproval.
"Is it really necessary to exert that much effort into making me crack a single smile?" I asked, she turned to me with a cheeky smile, "I wouldn't have to put this much effort if only you would smile for me!" She explained, I groan at her perseverance.
"Why should I smile for you?" I ask again coldly, she pouted at my cold demeanor, "Oh come on! I bet your smile looks just a beautiful as your eyes!" She says determined, I felt my cheeks get a little warm at the compliment she just casually slipped in,
I almost forgot how silver-tongued she was.
"I wouldn't smile unless there would be a reason for me to do so," I finally said,
Her mouth formed into an '0' shape as she slammed her fist on her palm, I turn to her curiously,
"What?" I asked, she gave me a determined grin, "I got it!" She declared triumphantly as she stood up from her seat and stepped in front of me with hands on her hips,
She cleared her throat,
"My wife accused me of being immature," She began, I raised my eyebrow, a joke? Was she serious? She's tried this more times then I could count, I'm certain that this wasn't going to work.
She snickered to herself before giving out the punchline, "I told her to get out of my fort," She said before bursting out into laughter,
I stare as she dropped to her knees and onto the marble floor, curling into a ball as she hugged herself and desperately tried to control her laughter,
I then thought about the joke and how ridiculous she looked right now,
I smiled, then snickered then chuckled, then I finally joined her melodic laughter as I was covering half of my mouth with my hand,
She then seemed to notice someone else laughing with her and looked up from her lying position, and her laughing went to an abrupt stop.
Even so, I was still laughing as my eyes were closed shut; my laughter faded out as I didn't hear her laughing anymore.
Opening my eyes, I saw (Y/n) looking up at me in pure awe and in admiration.
Her mouth was agape, and her eyes seemed to sparkle differently than usual; she looked absolutely starstruck.
I gaze back at her with confused eyes, silence filled the atmosphere for what seemed like centuries then the silence was cut off as she muttered out from underneath her breath.
"Heavenly..." She trailed off as she cocked her head sideways I felt a blush creep up my pale cheeks like warm, fuzzy snakes. I look away from her; trying to hide my red cheeks.
She leans to the side and smiled so bright, her face was inches from mine, which made me even more flustered, "You smiled!" You exclaimed, I give her a small grin and chuckled sheepishly, "I guess I did," I state.
"I'm so happy!" She enthusiastically stated as she wrapped her arms around my broad shoulders, "You should smile so much often around me!" She states.
She grabs my shoulders and makes me look directly at her bright face, "Your smile looks utterly stunning, your laugh sounds like classic, upbeat music to my ears!"
My blush deepens further, "(Y-Y/n)," I began, she let go of me and declared as she proudly pointed at me, "I knew my joke would work like a charm!"
I gently touch my cheek, which still feels warm from all her bold compliments.
I stare in pure awe at her prancing figure and I smile to myself, 'The joke wasn't the only one that worked on me.'

"Woah..." Denise breathed out, before asking, "Say, is she still alive?" I look at her with my signature smile.
"She is still alive, she's very alive at the moment; still doing her duties." I answered.
Denise tied up her short, auburn hair and pushed up her thin-framed glasses before asking with a curious gleam in her violet eyes, "Why did you even quit your job? When you had someone like her with you?" She asked,.
Denise always liked to ask about everything, which was one of the things why she seemed qualified for te job, she is also quite mature for her age, with her being sixteen and all.
She also liked to ask questions about (Y/n) very often, actually, Denise and (Y/n) are fairly alike.
"Let's just say I quit because of reasons more complicated then what you can process," I answer her, swiftly dodging her second question.
I then suddenly remember that time where I retired and was labelled as a deserter and looked down on my guest with a frown and deep regret.
'Why didn't I take her with me?'
