You huffed to yourself as you exited the human world and into the reaper realm, you have just finished your list and your paperwork so you have the rest of the day off. Grell isn't here though, which is a shame. Your redheaded friend accompanied Will as they both went to Germany to meet with some of the reapers from the German Dispatch concerning the whereabouts of Undertaker, and Ronald's out doing whatever youth does nowadays; so you're all alone for once.
Excited, you slammed the door open and rushed into your flat, you went to your bedroom practically collapsed on your comfy bed; snuggling into the soft duvet covers as you closed your eyes and let out a satisfied sigh.
Ah~ Bliss :>
Your eyes then snap open as you realised something 'I need cocoa.' You thought to yourself as your body jolts upwards and you stride to the kitchen, you then began rummaging through the cabinets as you tried to find that small, holy metal box full of cocoa powder.
Then a triumphant 'Aha!' escapes your lips as you finally found the box of cocoa stashed as the very back of one of the cabinets, you excitedly grabbed it and poured eight tablespoons worth of cocoa into your mug, which was way more than what the box stated. Then you poured hot water from the kettle and into the mug, staring at the mug in awe as the powder slowly began to melt.
You leaned back and gazed proudly at your work smiling to yourself, you cupped the mug between both of your hands and took a step back, about to go to your room and relax.
Then that fantasy of yours came to a halt as your eyes then blinked twice when your back gently bumped into something, or at least it felt like you bumped into someone. Your eyes slowly widening as you thought to yourself,
Shit, there it was again. That dreadful, towering presence that has always made you weak in the knees. You were practically frozen in fear and in confusion, not even daring to look behind you as you gripped tighter on the mug to the point wherein it could shatter into pieces.
You flinched as you felt a cold hand slid its way onto your waist, shivers were sent up your spine as the other hand slowly tracing its finger up from the base of your spine to your shoulder blade.
"W-what the--" You shakily began, only to be coquettishly shushed by the person behind you before a deep chuckle escaped their lips as their grip on your waist tightened. You inhaled sharply at the weird feeling of their hot breath fanning the shell of your ear
Hesitant and actually quite terrified, you slowly peered over your shoulder; only to see Adrian with his fringe covering his eyes. His grin widens as he lets out a little giggle. You let out a sharp gasp and only the sound of shattering glass could be heard.
But all of a sudden, your eyes then snap open.
You immediately sat up as you panted heavily in your place, was all that just a dream? You must have fallen fast asleep as soon as you collapsed on the bed.
Anxiously, you look across the room with wide eyes, finding nothing you sighed in relief and calmed down a little as you held your chest. He won't leave my goddamn mind. You thought to yourself with scrunched eyebrows, feeling a little frustrated.
"Why won't you leave?" You asked yourself, acting as if you were talking to Adrian himself. You let out a low growl and you fisted your hair with both of your hands, "Why won't you leave me like last time?!" You ask again, this time in a more louder and aggressive tone.
You then went silent like you were waiting for an answer, but really you weren't. Your heavy breathing was the only thing that could be heard in the empty room.
What was even happening to you earlier? Were you hallucinating or are you really going mad over him? He won't leave you alone, it's as if he's desperately clinging onto you like you were his last hope! You shouldn't have let him find you, otherwise, you wouldn't have ever gotten into this emotional shit-storm in the first place...
However, you were actually quite glad to finally see him again. No, you were overjoyed at the sight of your dear friend, but...he's changed now, and not in a way you would've expected.
He's now more, intimidating, threatening. Alluring. When you two reunited, you were more distressed and your legs would outright tremble in his presence, but in a different way. Confusing is it not?
You laid back down, huffing to yourself as you simply laid there in peaceful silence. Sleep, that's what I need. To clear these frustrating thoughts and make my hallucinations fade away. You thought to yourself as you began to close your eyes.
As you were about to close them, Adrian's silhouette suddenly came into view and was towering above you. Staring intensely at your sleeping figure as he just stayed above you. Your eyes then snap open for the second time today, only to see nobody was there. Again.
You brought a hand to your forehead, sighing as you said to yourself, "I really am hallucinating."
