Second Chances

Part One

I stood on the edge of the cliff. Looking up at the dark grey sky letting the rain pelt me in the face. Embracing the stinging of each droplet. The waves roared beneath me sounding like a beast you didn't want to fuck with.

"Why are you here?"

I spun around surprised when I saw the man that this town could never stop talking shit about.

"Cause I can be Jarrod. Why are you here?"

I raised an eyebrow crossing my arms across my chest. I watched as his gaze shifted to my breast since he could see everything that my red lacy bra wasn't covering up do to the rain. My white shirt clung to my body which made it look like I was wearing no shirt at all. I cleared my throat. He snapped out of his daze looking up at my face.

"What was the question again sorry I uh got distracted?"

I rolled my eyes mumbling to myself that he was a pervert.

"I asked you why are you here?"

He chuckled and started walking towards me.

"Mm what did you say?...Oh wait I think it was because I can be. Yeah that was it wasn't it? So darling it's because I can be."

I took a step back as he continued to get closer. When I was about to fall backwards due to the fact that I had reached the edge of the cliff Jarrod rushed forward wrapping his arm around my waist pulling me into him just in time. I almost just fell to my death.

"Didn't know I made you so nervous you wanted to try to survive the ocean right now. Which by the way darling you would have probably died and I would have died trying to save your dumb ass"

I smacked him upside the head which caused him to let me go almost instantly.

"What the fuck was that for I just saved your life!"

He snapped rubbing the back of his head. I shrugged and started to walk away before I stopped looking over my shoulder.

"I never said I ever wanted to be saved in the first place so don't be acting like you did me a favor."

Before he could utter one word I disappeared into the forest surrounding the hidden cliff.
