A Fateful Meeting (Sequel to A Life-Changing Encounter)

Chapter 1

It's been just over a week since Colby went home and I low key wish he hadn't or we'd at least hung out before he left. At the party, I got to know Colby and he is adventurous, cute, caring and funny. What else could a girl ask for? The night of the party we both stayed in the same room but we both stayed fully clothed, even though Jade doesn't believe either of us.

I found out a while ago that Jade is pregnant. When she told me, I rushed over to hers with chocolate, cake, McDonald's and some movies. I knew she must've been dying inside because she never wanted children when she was younger. I walked into her apartment, dropped everything and hugged her. She broke down in my arms. I asked Dan to sort the food out and put a film on. By the time Dan had sorted everything out, Jade had calmed down and was pigging out. We sat laughing, eating and watching films until five am.

About halfway through the final film, Jade fell asleep on Dan. Me and Dan had a conversation about the whole Jade, Dan and Phil situation since I'm still confused. He and Jade have a lot in common so we got along very well. I also warned him that if he ever hurt Jade, I'd hurt him. He seemed scared, which he should be. I can be a bitch when I need to be. 

After the film had finished, Dan carried Jade to bed and I made my way to the guest bedroom. It's the same room me and Colby stayed in the night of the party. When I walked through the door, I creepily smiled at the thought of the night.

Flashback

Me and Colby escaped to the bedroom when we saw the drama beginning. We couldn't be bothered to deal with it so we just ran away. We sat on the bed across from each other. I had one of my legs across his lap and his hand was on my thigh. We just sat, talking and laughing for ages. At one point, I got lost in his eyes and completely ignored everything he was saying. He must've noticed because he stopped talking, grabbed my waist and pulled me closer. He gradually closed the gap between our lips. His lips were soft and he tasted like alcohol. His tongue demanded entrance to my mouth, he searched every inch of my mouth. He began trying to lift my shirt off but I prevented him from doing so. He isn't going to see me naked, not today at least. He took the hint and just wrapped his arms around my waist even tighter than before. 

He pulled away, tugging my bottom lip between his teeth. I placed my forehead against his and whispered, "I'm tired," against his lips. He picked me up, wrapping my legs around his waist and placed me in the bed. I climbed under the duvet and Colby slid into bed next to me. We snuggled up to each other and let sleep take us away.

Present Day

I woke up to twenty-seven texts from Colby, each one funnier than the last. I laughed so loud that Jade came into the bedroom and asked what I was laughing at. I still haven't told her that I've been texting her brother because I'm nervous about how she'd react. She wrestled me for my phone then Dan walked over and stole my phone from my hand and passed it to Jade. I sat and pouted, folding my arms. Jade read my texts.

"Ooooo, Colby hmm." I snatched my phone back and turned away from her, turning scarlet red. Dan was chuckling in the corner of the room so I gave him a death stare. 

"I'm not angry if that's what you were worried about. I'm actually happy." They left me alone to get dressed and I texted Colby back. Once I was dressed, I said bye to Jade and Dan and went home, which wasn't very far away.
