When I came around I was back up in the chair. Ray was leaning on a counter with Mikey resting his head on ray's shoulder. Gerard was parallel to them fiddling with a coffee maker.
"Ugh" I groaned to alert them of my presence.
"There you are frankie, don't try to get up again okay?" I nodded in agreement. "Ray what's wrong with him, why's he still all bleh?"
"He hasn't had it yet." Ray said to gerard, turning towards the fridge.
"Ooooh, why'd ya wait?" Gerard replied, he then turned to me saying, "How squeamish are you?"
"Uh not particularly, why does it mat- oooooh" I suddenly realized what the it they had been referring to was.
Ray approached me with a bag of blood and a straw.
"Usally you'd drink with fangs but you're a pretty fresh turn so your fangs aren't fully developed." I cut him off shakily grabbing the bag and straw out of his hands.
"I just want to get this over with." I said stabbing the straw in the fine crimson liquid.
The metallic taste filled my mouth and for a moment I thought I was going to throw it up, how could anyone enjoy this or only live off of it?!?
I felt a sharp pain in my teeth where my fangs were, and then I felt them start to press up against my bottom lip.
Ray obviously saw the confusion in my face, "the first few times you drink blood your fangs will probably grow a bit. Around blood they'll automatically come out. The length you have now isn't permant. Eventually around blood it'll be like auto pilot. Now you see after the fourth or fifth or in some cases even after the second the urge will be so overwhel-"
"Shut up you're freaking him out!" Mikey said holding his head visibly shaken. His other hand had a death grip around ray's so tight that his knuckles turned shades of pink and white.
Ray looked down at his shoes and mumbled a "sorry" as he pulled mikey closer.
Mikey finally pulled away from ray after looking up at me.
"Dude you gonna be okay?" mikey said leaning in. "You're looking a little green."
"Get outta his face mikey, that's not gonna help." Gerard chimed in from across the kitchen.
Mikey sighed and leaned back.
I couldn't have anymore, it was too much. Gasping and spitting i shakily attempted to run to the sink to clean out my mouth.
I fell immediately.
Gerard rush over and helped me up, damn this dude just woke up and he's already this attentive, i'm terrified to think of how he is awake.
I continued spitting all the blood out onto the floor watching clumps of the crimson devil pour out of my mouth, almost desperately trying to get every ounce of it out of my mouth, my body. I couldn't stand it. I meant I was accepting all of this. It wasn't the blood it's self but the fact that by drinking it I accepted this all as reality. I was gonna wake up any minute now. I'm not dead. Vampires aren't real. I'm not dead. Vampires aren't real. I'm not dead. Vampires aren't real. I'm not dead. Vampires aren't real.
"Hey pretty face you doing all right?" Gerard whispered.
"I'M NOT DEAD! VAMPIRES AREN'T REAL!I'M NOT DEAD! VAMPIRES AREN'T REAL!I'M NOT DEAD! VAMPIRES AREN'T REAL! I'm-I-i'm not dead.... vamp-vampires aren't real."
"I'm so sorry frank" ray shook his head. "Life really isn't fair. Just try to clam down. Ssssssh"
I tried to scramble away crawling across the kitchen floor.
"I'm-i'm-i-i'm not d-d-dead"
My arms and legs couldn't take it I collapsed. I stopped trying to force myself to breathe which I didn't even know I was doing, I let my muscles relax, I just closed my eyes and silently let tears fall out.
"I'm n-n-not-t-t, -i'm not-not dead."
Gerard came over with another blood bag. "I'm sorry he whispered."
"No- no- no. Ple-please." I cried but it was to late.
To my horror I felt my fangs retract and I moved automatically as soon as the bag came near me.
Tears poured out of my eyes.
