Chapter 13 : Not Welcomed

It was the Second race of the night and Amanda started off strong against Victor. The two drivers race down the first section of the mountain completely focused. Victor tried to stay as close to Amanda as he could as they approached the first Checkpoint. Amanda began to create some separation between them through the turns in this section but Victor kept his pace. As they reached the Second checkpoint, Victor surprises Amanda by tapping her rear on the first corner into the section.

He then passes her before the next turn then slides his car on the inside line to block her. Amanda couldn't believe that she lost halfway down the Turnpike.
"This, This has never happened before!" She said to herself.
"I, I lost, I actually lost." Amanda cried. Damien and the others cheered loudly after that outcome but one spectator was not that impressed.

"Hey! I don't know why you're so cheery but cut it out." The man said to them.
"Only the best drivers belong in Japan, and I'm going to prove that you don't belong here." He told them.
"My name is Joshua Nakazato, and I challenge your team to race on the Kanjo Loop!" He yelled at them.
"We accept your Challenge you Jerk, and when we beat you I'll personally teach you some manners!" Nikki replies aggressively.
"You have one week to prepare yourselves, no excuses." Josh says to her.

He gets into his car and speeds down the mountain.
"Who does he think he is!?" Eli asked in a pissed tone.
"He's probably some local who's upset cause you beat his record." John replied.
"Don't let him bother you, Let's move out, it's getting late." He said to the group.
"How'd you do that?" Amanda asked Victor.
"How'd i do what?" He responds.
"How'd you beat me so easily in that race?" She asked him.
"Oh, well at first i thought that you would've beaten me, since your car was faster in the turns." He told her.
"However, you let your guard down, you forgot how close i was to your car, and after realising it i took advantage." He explained.

Amanda realised what he said was true and was embarrassed for making such a mistake.
"Well if was the worst race of my life, but I can't really complain." She said to him.
"Stay safe brat, you did good tonight." Amanda said before driving off.
The next day, Victor was on the Turnpike early with Amber.

"You're a better driver than i thought, it's like this car was made for you." Amber said to him.
"Maybe the Japan Scene was made for you." She laughed.
"How long have you been in Japan?" Victor asks her.
" I actually grew up here." She replied. "Yeah, I'm African-American, but my parents couldn't take care of me, so i lived with a close friend of theirs ." She told him.

"It's was weird, but i learnt a lot here and I love this place." She said to him. "My parents actually never got along, They were always upset about something and never really spent time with me, but i pushed through,and now I'm here." Victor confessed.
"I heard that Josh called out your crew, He's an aggressive driver." Amber told him.
"Are you scared to race him?" He asked her.
"No, I'm scared of you racing him, he'll do anything to get a win." She said in a Concerned tone.

Meanwhile, Walter was in the Saitama Prefecture with his girlfriend Yuki. The two went for an early walk together to find a good place to eat. "Eli and I are going to be racing in Osaka next week." He told Yuki.
"Do you want to come and watch?" He asked.
"I would, but I'm busy on that night, sorry." She replies.
"Its fine, I'll just win the race in your honour!" He told her smiling.

Later that day, Nikki was practicing on the Kanjo Loop when Suddenly a red R30 Skyline GTR appears behind her and flashes its lights. She tries to pull away but the GTR sticks with her. The R30 passes her Rapidly then slowly pulls away. She gets a quick look at the rear plate and she saw the name 'Akimura' on it. She freezes up for a second then tries to catch up to the car.

The R30 vanished into the traffic and she stops on the shoulder.
"My name was on that car." She said to herself.
"Who was that?" She wondered. "Maybe, It could be him." She told herself.
"How can I be sure though?"
