[Cami's POV]

After i finish showering and drying my hair, I grab a blanket, and sit on the couch with my mom. It's just the two of us, watching TV and drinking hot chocolate.

As time passes, I lean my head back on the couch. My thoughts come to an end, and my eyes grow heavy from the excessive agitation of my brain. I give myself up to exhaustion and fall asleep.

I slowly open my heavy eyes as I hear low murmurs in the kitchen. My mouth is dry, and my back hurts, that's what I get for crashing on the couch. I open the curtains on my way to the kitchen, the sunlight hits my face.

"Charles?" I gasp. Him and my mom are arguing. She didn't like him before, she probably despises him now.

"Cami, hey, can we talk?" He comes near me,"Privately."

I sigh," of course."

We move to the bedroom, and he closes the door behind us. I sit on the bed with my arms crossed.

"Listen, I'm sorry I went out for a long while. I hope you understand. The whole situation was just too confusing, and you know how things are when Kj's around. It's like he has this control over you. And losing you to that control is what fears me the most."

I take a deep breath, getting ready to talk, but I don't know what to say.

Charles continues,"But you were dating a few years back, so I get why you would miss each other. I-i just wanted to let you know that I forgive you."

" Forgive me?" I scoff, " for what?"

He moves around the room and runs his hand through his hair. He usually does that when he starts getting angry.

He turns around to face me,"For loving him", he shouts," or for kissing him back, that's what you told me. For not telling me about the kiss once it happened. I don't understand, all you were trying to do was apologise to me at first, and now you're saying you did nothing wrong for me to forgive you?"

"Yeah, I had a lot of time to think about the dumb things I said considering you were gone all night. And yes, I did nothing wrong. I don't have to explain anything to you."

He sits down next to me and remains silent for a few seconds, his eyes not meeting mine, not even once, then he starts," I just want to work things out. I trust you, and I don't want anything or anyone to ruin our wedding for us."

"Me neither", I reply with a sigh, " Can we just let this go. It doesn't matter whose fault it is. Arguing isn't healthy for us and it won't get us anywhere."

"I agree", he says and takes me in for a tight hug.

[Kj's POV]

I wonder what happened between Cami and Charles. I want to check on her so bad, but I would just be making things worse for her.

I sit at the kitchen table, eating breakfast alone as Cole isn't home to keep me company. I smile at the fond memories of Cami and I one summer night at my old apartment in L.A.

*Flashback*

"I think you've had enough drinks for tonight, babe", I laugh as I take the glass away from her.

She grabs the wine bottle off the counter, runs around the room, then stands up on the sofa, "who died and made you president, mister sexy Apa? I think I can drink as much as I want to. I'm a free unicorn. Don't ever forget that",she jokes.

"Oh yeah? Well your drunk ass is going to regret that in the morning. We have work tomorrow", I say motioning for her to get back down.

"Not again", she groans and starts skipping on the couch, "Veroncia and Archie's complicated relationship can wait, now catch me." She jumps into the air without even waiting for me to get closer to her.

I run as fast as I can, tripping over the rug, until I finally have her in my arms. I bury my head in her hair as I let out a sigh of relief.

"Good job, Keneti." She holds my head in between her hands. I look into her beautiful and innocent eyes and find my whole world reflected in them. Our noses are touching, and I smell the sweet fragrance of the wine she's been drinking. We both chuckle.

"It's getting pretty late", I say, still in my exact same position.

"Yeah?" She replies before connecting our lips together softly with her hands in my hair and my hands around her waist.

I smile into the kiss that was getting more and more intense by the second. I carry her and run childishly into the bedroom, making her laugh adorably.

"I want this to last forever", her sweet voice whispers into my ear.

"I'll make sure it does," I whisper back and leave a small kiss on her forehead.

*End of flashback*

I couldn't help but call Lili.

"Hey, Kage, what's up?"

"I'm really worried about Cami, did you get a chance to talk to her?"

"Yeah, I called her a few minutes ago. Her and Charles argued a bit at first, but it's all good now. Everything's back to normal.
Hello? ... Kj, are you still there?"

"Yeah, yeah, that's great, I'm so relieved. I'll text you later, bye." I hang up the phone.

Cami's happiness is all that matters.

[Cami's POV]

"The orchids look nice, don't you think?", I ask Charles as I point to the shelf in which the flowers are placed.

"I love them", he then turns to the florist, "Alright, we're getting the orchids over there."

"Okay, sir. We'll be placing them on the tables one night before the wedding. See you then."

We're almost done with the wedding preparations. We had already picked out our dress and suit and reserved a hall for the after party even before our whole fight. Our big day is coming.

[A/N I really enjoyed writing the flashback. I might to more of them:)) Should I do the wedding next chapter, or the one after that? ]
