[Cami's POV]My mom and I are at the hair salon early in the morning, getting ready. The loud noises of people chattering and blow dryers roaring just adds to my nervousness and stress.
"The whole family is here", says my mom, her voice going up an octave,"but they're not going to see you until later today at the wedding. They're all beyond excited. Are you?"
"About seeing them? Yes, of course. I haven't seen my dad in ages. And all my cousins-ugh."
My mother looks around the salon and scratches her nose.
"Oh you mean if I were excited to get married to Charles?Mom, are you being serious? It's my wedding day for God's sake."
"But are you? Excited?" She insists.
"Stop. Just stop, okay", I try to seem a bit angry, but I can't help it, I let out a small laugh.
The hairstylist's eyes bore into mine as if she were judging our whole conversation.
"I'll always be here for you and support all your decisions, mija, no matter what. Don't ever forget that", she smiles and takes my hand in hers.
[Kj's POV]
I moan as I hear someone barge into my bedroom, I wonder how long I've been sleeping. My mind is so fuzzy. I lift my head from my pillow and rub my eyes.
"Cole?" I yawn. "What time is it?"
"12 p.m." he says as he throws a pillow to my face," So what do you think?" He holds his suit up for me to get a clear view of it.
"You really woke me up for this?" I groan as I sit up straight, "Yeah the suit is pretty cool, ay, but I think a red tie would look better than this blue one. Now can I go back to sleep? Wake me up when you come back home from the wedding."
"Okay, first of all, I have to wear the blue tie to match Lili's dress. And secondly, you're really not going today?"
I lean back down on the bed,"No, I'm not. That would be a dumb move. And do I look dumb to you?"
"Uh do you really want me to answer that? And I don't think going after the girl you're, let's face it, madly in love with is dumb."
I furrow my eyebrows and shake my head.
"Just think about it. You don't want to regret this for the rest of your life." He then leaves the room and closes the door behind him.
[Cami's POV]
It's 2 p.m now. The wedding starts in two hours. This whole thing is so stressful. I have my make up and hair done. All I need to do now is get dressed.
The dress is simple, yet elegant with some flowers on its top half. It's also form fitting to show off my curves. It makes me feel confident. I will also be wearing a silky long veil to finish the whole bride look.
A few minutes pass, and I'm just looking straight into the mirror silently this whole time. I start to get second thoughts. I mean, do I really want to get married? Aren't we speeding things up? We're still too young. I hope we're making the right decision here.
But it's normal for a bride to doubt everything at the last second. That usually happens most of the time. It'll be fine once I get to the altar. We've put so much work and effort in this day and this relationship, so it's going to take more than just a few last-minute worries to make it all go to waste.
This is what I want. This is what Charles and I have been planning for a very long time. I just hope this day gets to be as perfect as possible.
After getting dressed, the stylist, Paul, who's been helping me get ready takes out a few diamond earrings and necklaces for me to try on, but nothing really goes with the dress.
"Oh, no. What should I do? I can't show up with no jewelry. Isn't there anything else you have that I could try on?" My heart starts thumping loud and I start panicking.
"No need to worry. It's nothing but a small issue, we'll handle it. Why don't we check your jewelry box to see if there's anything that we could use", Paul tries to comfort me.
I go get my jewelry box as I start to calm down. We try on hundreds of different earrings and bracelets.
"Wow. Look at this necklace, Cami. It's gorgeous. You have to try it on."
I turn to face Paul to see him holding the diamond necklace that Kj got me for my 23rd birthday. I haven't worn it in ages.
"I couldn't-"
"Why not? It's perfect. Look", he places it around my neck and hands me a mirror.
"Well, I guess it does look good with the dress", I smile.
"This is the one. I'm obsessed with it", Paul claps his hands together and squeals.
I then chose small earrings that match the heavenly necklace that I hesitantly decided to wear, and with that, I was all done and ready to go to the ceremony.
[Kj's POV]
I struggle to get out of bed. I've been lying down for a long while, so I thought I should take a shower and freshen up. I kick the covers off.
I then grab a towel and go to the bathroom, walking barefoot on the cold tiles that send shivers down my spine.
I adjust the water and let it run as I brush my teeth. I first place a foot in the shower, then go all in with my whole body. I love taking hot showers. It relaxes me. I close my eyes as I think about what Cole said, with the water now running down my cheeks.
If I go to the wedding and make a scene, I might lose Cami and Charles for good, and they could continue with the ceremony as if nothing happened, or I could really change Cami's mind. If she still loves me, she wouldn't agree to continue with the wedding, but I'll lose Charles for good as well in this case.
And I could also stay here, mind my own business and ruin my life. But I would do that if it meant my friends are happy.
I still have a lot to think about, but there isn't much time left. The wedding starts in half an hour.
[Cami's POV]
I hear a knock on the door.
"Who is it?" I shout.
The door slightly opens and my father peaks his face. "Hello, princess", he smiles.
"Dad? Oh my gosh, come in", I stand up in front of the vanity to greet him," I've missed you so much."
"I missed you too, Cam." He hugs me tightly then continues," It's starting. Are you ready to walk down the aisle?"
"Nope, not really", I chuckle, "I'm just too nervous, I think i have to puke."
"Oh, no no. We don't need that. Just breath. It's okay. You can take five minutes to calm down, but we can't keep the guests waiting forever", he laughs.
And before we know it, my father and I are standing in front of the huge wooden door, waiting for it to open.
I hear the music starting to play from inside.
"Now are you ready?" My dad says as he grabs my hand.
"I think so."
"Good enough, let's do this."
"Okay, you can open the door now", i say to the two men standing in front of us.
Here goes nothing.
Or everything actually.
[A/N I might start writing the second part today. I'm really excitedd I want it to be the best chapter in this whole story.]
