"When will he arrive?" Jeon Wonwoo bounced his heel repeatedly onto the wooden floor, fists clenching at the absence of the younger. He clearly remembered reminding the younger to go home before eight, yet he has been out for four good hours. 'Jesus, how many hours do you even take in the grocery.' Although he was about to pass out due to drowsiness, his instincts made him decide to carry on waiting.
After a few moments, finally, the door creaked open. Wonwoo was about to burst and shout at the younger for being late. However, Wonwoo became perplexed when it revealed a bloody Mingyu whose clothes were all torn with holes, having crimson blood seep out of his freshly cut wounds. Thus, he immediately walked towards him then examined his wounds. Wonwoo was caught off guard, who would've thought driving in the mountains could cause an injury this severe.
"I uh, didn't get to... buy?" The younger stammered as if the food is what's important right now, shakingly holding up the empty grocery bag; the proof of his unsuccesful trip to the grocery.
"Forget about the food, you need to be treated for goodness' sake." He replied quickly, grimacing at his lover's condition. Mingyu's arm looked like it was about to fall off his shoulders any time now.
Sitting down, Wonwoo gently (very gently) took the plastic bag out of Mingyu's grasp before before getting the first aid kit. He was taken aback at Mingyu's blank expression cotton swabs grazed against his fresh wounds. Usually, Mingyu would wince at the stings and complain for him to dab it lighter, but the latter remained stoic, waiting for his lover to finish treating his wounds. "Hospital, let's go to the hospital." Wonwoo muttered in a brisk voice only recieve a light tug onto the hem of his shirt in reply.
"I dont need to go to the hospital, I'm alright Wonwoo."
Wonwoo's expression hardened after hearing that sentence from the other.
"Alright?! Mingyu what the heck?! You came here all covered in blood and you call yourself alright?!" Wonwoo was practically screaming his lungs out for his lover's stupidity, I mean, he isn't wrong right? After all, his man is severely injured so why in the world would he call himself alright?
All of a sudden, an awkward silence devoured the space between the two because of his sudden outburst. Mingyu looked away not even wanting to see the concern filling the other's eyes.
'How could a person still be alive, loosing this much amount of blood anyway?' He thought looking at the blood wetting the couch Mingyu's sitting on. "So, what happened? Why are you covered in blood?" Wonwoo asked, deciding to break the silence.
"Sorry," He muttered loud enough for Wonwoo to hear.
"I didn't get to save the car." He sobbed.
'Oh, I guess he fell off the cliff while driving.' Wonwoo thought.
'Wait, if he fell off the cliff, how'd he get up here? Did he get some help or something?
well at least he's alive Wonwoo.'
He smiled wiping his tears with his thumb, looking at his eyes. "It doesn't matter as long as you're alive."
"Yeah, I'm alive." He said, still smiling sadly as he played with his hands uncomfortably.
Minutes after that, he decided to stand up from the couch and looked at him. "Let's sleep." Mingyu smiled, reassuring Wonwoo that he was safe.
"Alright."
