Wonwoo's Perspective

Mingyu's a soul, that's why when he died he couldn't go to the grocery.

Mingyu's a soul that's why he refused to go to the hospital.

Mingyu's a soul that's why he couldn't feel pain.

Mingyu's a soul that's why he was the only one who can walk into the scene and touch the corpse.

'That's right, he's a soul. Everything's falling into places and it fits perfectly. I don't know if I should believe him or not, but his eyes are telling me to believe him.'

Taking a deep breath, I hesitantly accepted it. It's not like I have the power to turn back time right?

"So you were a ghost all along,"

"And I'm the only one who can see you right?" I continued. Perplexed, I finally got the puzzle pieces fall into their right places.

--

It feels so normal, sitting here with Mingyu in a restaurant while eating my chicken, that is, if you don't think about the other being a ghost and pretend he is still alive. The restaurant we were in wasn't crowded, nor was it empty. That's why some people were freaked out at the fork that was floating occasionally in the vacant seat.

"Mingyu!" I whisper-shouted in order to not attract attention. He snapped his head towards my direction and flashed a cheeky smile. Continuing to play with the fork, I decided to finish my food immediately and leave.

A few moments later, we were on our way back, walking on the cliff where the unfortunate incident occurred. It's indeed the rainy season, little droplets of water began pouring down from the sky gradually increasing turning into a heavy rain.

"It's raining again." When I faced my palms up the sky, a pair of strong arms from the back wrapped around my waist. The beating of my heart quickened because of the sudden skinship. Though we are awfully close to one another, I couldn't hear his heartbeat.

"Look at the city. I was too mesmerised by its looks so I didn't get to focus on driving. Hence, my death." He said while laughing softly as if it's nothing serious.

"That's ridiculous." But none could lie, the city is indeed mesmerising. The lights looked like stars and the rain's calming sound was pleasing to the ears.

I guess the downpour had no plans of stopping, like our love.

"I'm sorry."

"Sorry for what?" I asked him who was placing his chin above my shoulder.

"I'm sorry we can't marry." He whispered, he held my hand that was feeling the rain and placed it on his cheek intertwining our fingers.

"It's alright, we will marry in our dreams."
