Chapter 7: An Eternal Bond

Adrian pulled me close as April, Faith, Mason, and Tyler walked up to us. "I knew you two would end up with each other." April and Faith squealed and pulled me into a hug. When they let go of me I saw Mason hit Adrian on the back and congratulate him.

Adrian smiled and pulled my waist to him and kissed me again. The wolf pups were covering their faces, but Layla wasn't she sagged her tail and yipped, she ran up here and jumped on me.

To understand her I turned into a wolf, Adrian did too and we looked at the pup. "Are you going to be apart of the pack now?" I looked at Adrian, "It isn't my decision to make." He looked at me, then looked down at the pup, "Yes-yes she is."

Everyone howled and Adrian rubbed his head on my head and licked my ears. We said good by to everyone, but one pup said, "Don't leave, Liz, please?" She begged. "I'm sorry, Layla, but I'm growing weak from using my powers to much. I'll come back, sweet girl, I promise."

She rubbed my leg and I licked her ear, "Now, go back to your mothers, to ready to leave." She licked my leg and ran to her mother. "Are you to weak to run home, Princess?" I look at him and honestly I felt very weak. I walked to him and said, "I hate to admit it but, yes."

We walked over the hill and I turned back into me, Adrian turned into a larger wolf so I could ride on his back. We got home and my mom was waiting for us, she knew about the pack meeting so she is cool with this.

"You two have fun?" She looked at me, "You got to weak, hum?" All I did was shake my head. I walked to my room and changed into a black night shirt and short night shorts. Adrian walked in and as usual, shirtless and black sweat pants, What is it with him and sweat pants?

I got under my covers and felt hands around my waist, he pulled me closer. "Hey, Adrian," He hummed in response, "Who is Layla's mother?" I turned my head to him and he looked over at me.

"Her name is Alue. She was my mother's best friend. Alue had sweet children, like her son Dakota his name literally means friend." I rolled over to where I could see him face to face, kissed him and rapped my arms around him.

I woke up, but Adrian was still asleep, I kissed him, "Wake up sleepy head, it's Sunday we're going to church." He shot awake, "You can't go to church bad things will happen."

I giggled, "My parents are witches right?" Adrian nodded 'yes', "Well we have been going to church for years and they have always been witches." He looked at me, "You have a good point."

I got up and pushed him put of my room. I put on a floral dress that was just above the knee. I tried to do my hair into a high pony tail but I couldn't. All of a sudden my hair was up and my earrings shined.

I was putting on my floral flats when Adrian came in. He was wearing a white shirt, a messed up tie, and jeans. I smiled when I saw the tie, I walked over and fixed it. His hair was messy too but I liked it that way.

"You look beautiful, Princess, but then again you always do." I hugged him and kissed him. We broke it, he had my waist, I got my purse and phone and we went to church.

We walked into the youth room with everyone playing like the wolf pups. We sat down in the row of sets in the back, "Adrian, how old is Layla?" He put his arm around my shoulders, "She's about six or seven. Why?" I got up and he did too. I walked over to the youth minister, Adrian close behind.

"Miss Mona, is there a women here, by any chance, named Alue?" She looked at me then at Adrian. "Yes, there is and her daughter and son. Her husband has been working late lately and hasn't for a few weeks."

"Is there any chance that her daughter and son can come in here?" She looked at me and smiled. "Well her son is already in here but I don't see why we can't bring in Layla."

I smiled so much I thought my face would get stuck. "Thank you so much." Miss Mona walked out of the room and came back minutes later with a small girl with blond hair and a wide smile. Layla ran up to me and hugged my leg. "I get to see you again." She jumped in a circle.

"I promised didn't I, sweet girl?" She hugged me again and we walked to our sets and sat down. Adrian had his arm around me, I had my arm around Layla and looked at her. Layla ended up sitting on my lap, Dakota sat next to Adrian and Adrian had his arm around the early hunter.

Adrian and I played with Layla and Dakota until Alue came to get them. Layla and Dakota didn't see Alue but I did. I walked over to her and Layla and Dakota followed. "Hello, Adrian. Hello, Liz." She bowed a little.

Layla and Dakota hugged me and Adrian good bye and I hugged Alue. Alue looked at me like she had never done such a thing before. "You are an amazing mother and you raised such beautiful children. I hope the other pups will follow in there foot steps."

She started to cry. She hugged me tight, "Thank you, no one has ever said that to me unless it's Dakota's trainers telling me that he's going to make a fine hunter and can't wait to see how Layla will do."

Alue let go wiped her tears away and walked away with her kids. Adrian put his hand on my shoulder, "You are truly amazing, Lizzy. You and the rest of the pack have an eternal bond because of many things but one is that you are so kind and want to help us. Another of course is your spirit animal." I turned to him and punch his arm lightly.

"I love the pack like my family. They are all I want to protect." He smiled, "That is your bond and that is what makes a great alphess." My eyes went wide, "A what?"
