Chapter 8: Will You Be The Alphess?

"You would make a great alphess, Lizzy." I looked at him, "I heard what you said, it's just," I sighed, "it's just, am I good enough to be an alphess, am I good enough for the pack, am I good enough for you?"

He took my hand and made my hand touch his face. "You are perfect for the pack, for alphess, and you are more than that for me. The real question is, is the pack good enough to deserve you?"

I felt like crying at his words. A tear found it's way out of my eye and he wiped it away. "Adrian, I still don't think...." I couldn't believe my eyes he got down on one knee, Wait is this legal, is he aloud to do this? Of course I would say yes but is this legal?

He look up at me, "Will you marry me, Lizzy, my princess?" I couldnt hold back a smile and I felt tears run down my cheeks, "Yes I'll marry you, but is this legal?"

He smiled and he started crying too. "In werewolf law this is legal, but I don't know outside the pack." He put the ring on my finger anyway and hugged me. I felt funny, I felt magic come from the ring. Adrian let go and had his arm around my shoulders again.

We walked out to my parents. "Mom, is it legal to marry someone at our age?" My mom looked at me. "When you are sixteen to seventeen you can get married if your mother and father says it's alright but under that no not really."

I sighed a little in defeat and relief. I want to marry him I really do, but it's way to soon. "It's okay I can wait three years for the real wedding but for now the pack wedding is on." Adrian said and I remembered he said we could be married in the pack.

"Yes, this going to be the best thing ever." I didn't even think about the to early thing when I heard we could be married in the pack. He took my waist and pulled me close, Not in front of my parents, Adrian. He nodded.

We got home at around 1:20 after lunch. We told my parents we were going to see the pack and headed to the meeting grounds. When we got there I saw the mothers and pups, the hunters and hunters in training, and the omegas.

Mason and Tyler came up with the girls on their backs. Everyone looked at Adrian and I. Everyone even the mothers and pups turned into themselves. "I have some news. Their is a pack wedding to be planned."

Everyone howled. "You are what?" I looked at the girls, but I heard three voices. A brown haired girl stepped in front of me.

"You think you're good enough for the alpha, you think you're good enough for the pack, well let me tell you one thing you are not good enough for alphess." I soon saw that it was Alice.

"Alice, I've had enough of you being horrible to everyone." She grabbed my wrist. "Yeah, well," I cut her off, "Yeah, well, you don't get to make everyone feel inferior, because you want to feel better about yourself."

She was even angrier now after what I said, but April and Faith were laughing so hard. "You want to fight, let's go." Alice let go and turned into a wolf.

"There isn't going to be a fight." Alice turned back. "You afraid?" "I not afraid, it's just, I don't want to fight anyone from this pack. They're like my family and I don't want to hurt them, Alice, even you."

She looked at me and smiled, "Well then, how would you handle this?" She turned into a wolf and attacked me. She bit my arm and some blood came out. I turned into a lion or something like that then back to me.

Adrian ran to me and put pressure on my wound. "Alice, what were you thinking? I'm in love with Liz." I sat up and I was angry, I went from myself to lion to wolf to lion to wolf back to myself and I was so weak.

Adrian turned to me and sat me up. Alice turned back into a wolf ready to pounce on us both, I heard a whimper and looked at Alice. Mason and Tyler were on her and barking at her. April and Faith were....wolves. They stood in front of me and Adrian looking at the guys and Alice.

"You won't hurt Liz or Adrian." Faith was beautiful. "I won't let you touch a hair on her head, Alice. Mason, enough." April looked beautiful too.

Adrian stood up, but had a hand on my back keeping me up, "Girls, hold her up." My friends held me up and Alue came too along with Layla and Dakota. "Alice, I don't ever want to see you in this pack again. I banish you and you will have the mark of treason."

"Adrian, stop." I yelled. He turned his head with anger in his eyes. "She doesn't deserve to starve. Mark her with treason but don't turn her away. She should be the lowest omega or something. Anything just don't turn her away from this pack."

His eyes softened, he didn't do anything for a while. "Alice, you won't be harmed but your honor will, you are put at the bottom of the omega ranks. Tyler, for your bravery against Alice you are promoted form omega, congratulations."

Layla came up to me, "So, will you be our alphess?" I smiled and hugged her. "Yes, I will be your alphess." They all howled and licked my wound. Adrian took me home and laid me on my bed.

"I'm so sorry this happened, Lizzy." I put my hand to his cheek. "I'm the alphess. I can handle it." He smiled and kissed me, "I love you, Lizzy." "I love you too, Wolfy."
